Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be my Beauty Trash, so all the products I’ve used up.
I always find interesting these kinds of posts, because you get to see the FULL review of what people completely used up and especially if they truly loved something enough to repurchase it.
Today I’m going to show you my empties, do a mini review and tell you whether I’m going to buy the product again.
I got these two Garnier cleansers to do the exact same thing, therefore I’m showing them together. One is the Pure Active Fruit Energy and the other one is the Skin Active Gel Micellar.
I love to use these Garnier cleansers to take off my make up at night, nothing works like them, I use a cotton round and some micellar water afterwards and I swear the disc comes out almost clean. I LOOOVE these cleansers in general but I have to say the Orange one is the best, I’ve gone through so many of it. Literally, probably 15 in the last few years. I love it.
Unfortunately, I think they are discontinuing it because I couldn’t find it anywhere, but I saw the have some new ones, 96% natural so I got one of those, I’m testing it out, so far it feels the same. If you can still find it though GRAB IT, you won’t regret it. It has a delicious orange scent and it’s also really BRIGHTENING since it has Vitamin C, you can read about its benefits here.
The other one is actually supposed to remove your make up but I don’t think it works as well as the orange one. I like it but I won’t repurchase it.
I quickly want to add that my mum and sister Queen agree with me on this review.
I have two of these masks and I’ve mentioned them a ton in previous posts. If you saw my Drugstore Haul UPDATE you would already know that I absolutely LOVE them.
It is the Garnier Hydra Bomb Sheet Mask.
I’m the most sceptical person when it comes to sheet masks but this one: first of, it’s really affordable, second of, it’s PACKED with serum, and last I really see a difference when I used it. My skin it’s more plumped and hydrated afterwards.
I love it, so much, I’ll definitely buy it again if I fancy a sheet mask.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O, one of those products that everybody loves. I started using it about 5 years ago and I still love it. In case you never heard of it, it’s micellar water, which essentially means a make up remover that works wonders, it’s not greasy, it doesn’t sting and you don’t have to rinse.
This thing is expensive but I think it’s amazing and I’ve already repurchased multiples times and up until now, nothing compares, in my opinion. I don’t have it now because my store was out of it so I bought one from L’Oreal that I like a lot, but I still prefer Bioderma. It takes off my make up so effortlessly, I never have residues of mascara around my eyes when I wake up and this is the only product that does it. Once I run out of the L’Oreal one I will repurchase it.
This Tea Tree face lotion from The Body Shop is one of my favourites, I bought it more than once. It’s quite hydrating but not greasy, it works beautifully under make up and I like it a lot. Currently, I’m using the L’Oreal Hydra Genius because I wanted to try something new and, since I recently moved, I can’t easily find a Body Shop store around me. It’s a good product and I will buy it again in the future if I have the chance.
My favourite eye cream is the Kiehl’s one with Avocado. I have a weird opinion about this product. I like it but I don’t love it as much as I want too. It’s definitely really hydrating that’s why I keep buying it but I don’t really see any differences when I use it. Essentially I feel like I’m paying a lot for a really hydrating cream that does nothing but hydrate.
I think what I’m trying to say is: I like it but I don’t think it’s worth the high price point, therefore I’m still going to repurchase it once the weather gets colder (my undereye is SOOO dry I need something this hydrating) or once I finish the product I’m using now (that I don’t like).
I think this is one of those products you have to try for yourself to see if you like it because it’s such a loved product in the beauty community. You can ask for a sample in the store.
I don’t know if this Urban Decay Setting Spray count as make up, but I’m still putting it in this category since I use it when I do my make up. This is the De-Slick, it’s supposed to set your make up and control oil production.
I had a travel size I got in Sephora having really high hopes but I honestly don’t think this product works, I love Urban Decay so much but this product does absolutely nothing for me. Maybe my skin is way too oily but I haven’t seen a difference whether I use it or not. Maybe this Summer was way too hot. Sorry Urban Decay, I love you, but this product is not for me.
Lastly, I have a mascara, this is by essence, I love their mascaras, but they dry really quickly. This is the Forbidden Volume and it definitely gave my lashes a lot of it. I saw a photo where I was wearing it and I literally thought:” OMG What mascaras was that???”, you can see the picture here (the red halo eye look). This mascara it’s incredible but they don’t make it anymore, so I can’t repurchase it. They made two new mascaras that I really like, you can see them here.
If you still can find it, stock up on it, it’s amazing.
