Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Dior Addict Lip Tattoo in the shade Natural Rosewood.
You have no idea how long it took me to do this review, I was so excited when I bought this product, but the day after, I got herpes on my lips and for a week straight it was impossible for me to try it.
Now I’m back at it again and I’m sooo excited to finally tell you everything about the new Dior Addict Lip Tattoo.
This is my first review so let me know what you think of it in the comments and if I should change something. Any feedback it’s appreciated.
You can get the Dior Natural Rosewood Lip Tattoo from sephora for 30$.
This lip product it’s a tint, which means that is going to stain your lips and last for a long time.
It caught my interest because when I swatched it in the store the stain remained on my hand for hours!
When you apply it has a balmy, oily feel (not sticky at all) but it’s like this “oil” it’s separated from the tint and if you kiss something or drink only that transparent component goes away leaving you with just the pigment, so if you want you can apply some lip balm through the day the colour is going to remain the same and it’s not going to transfer over the lip balm.
That makes it really comfortable and hydrating.
The shade I got it’s a dark nude rose perfect for every day, probably not the most original colour but if I invest in something that is expensive I want to be able to wear it as much as possible.
DUPES: Looking in my collection I found some dupes for the colour, some of them are really popular shades that you might already have some are just a really affordable option. They are all really similar in shade but they have a different consistency, in fact, the Dior one is the only one that stayed when I wiped the swatches away with a tissue.
It has a doe foot applicator which is really small and precise, to me, it picks up too much product but you can easily clean it on the neck of the bottle and you’ll be fine.
The scent’s insane I LOVE IT. It’s sweet but not vanillary, delicate and not overpowering.
On the Dior website they are described as:
No-transfer shades with a weightless, comfortable, bare-skin sensation.
I totally agree with this description. This is so comfortable.
The consistency is very liquid, almost watery, and the finish is quite weird, you really have to test it out for yourself, you can have it matt or more shiny depends on how much of the balminess component you blot away.
Unfortunately, it grabs on dry patches, to be honest, I’m really lucky and my lips aren’t super dry, so I don’t even know why it does it.
It creates that ugly line in the centre of my lips, I can blend it until it is even but for 30$ it shouldn’t do that at all, you can really see in the photos, although from the distance it’s not really noticeable.
- Colour: 8/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 5/10
- Pigmentation: 8/10
- Formula: 8/10
- Scent: 10/10
I really like this product and I’ve been wearing it a lot despite the cons. I recommend it if you want a lip tint that is long-lasting, hydrating and really comfortable and you don’t mind the extra work to avoid the grabbing, and obviously if you are ok with the price.
Tip: You can scrub your lips before and make sure your lips are moisturised prior. You can put lip balm on before starting your make up so when you are done your lips will be fully hydrated!
