Ciao Darlings, nel post di oggi vi mostrerò i miei consigli per su dove spendere e dove risparmiare comprando makeup. (Shopping Tips should you Save or Splunge on Makeup).
L’altra sera stavo cercando qualche idea per nuovi post e pensavo “Perchè ho iniziato questo blog?” stavo cercando nuovi prodotti da recensire poi è arrivata l’illuminazione:
a) Ci sono davvero migliaia di canali/blog che già lo fanno.
b) DAVVERO VOGLIO COMPRARE UN’ALTRA PALETTE DAI TONI CALDI che è assolutamente identica a tante altre sul mercato?
La risposta è stata: Certo che si, amo il make up e amo provare cose nuove!
Ma sentimenti a parte ho iniziato a riflettere sul fatto che nonostante escano sempre cose nuove e nonostante il mio primo pensiero sia sempre “lo voglio”, finisco sempre per spendere per le stesse cose, perciò ho pensato che oggi potevo dirvi quali sono quelle cose che secondo me VALGONO LA SPESA, QUALI INVECE NO E PERCHE’ LA PENSO COSI’: ovviamente questa è la mia opinione basata su le mie preferenze e necessità.
Fatemi sapere se siete interessati a leggerne di più e magari posso chiedere alle mi sisters di unirsi visto che sicuramente avranno idee completamente diverse dalla mie.
Fatemi sapere dove voi preferite risparmiare, dove invece vi piace investire e perchè. Adoro sempre leggere le vostre risposte!
Makeup Save or Splurge: Risparmia:
Ovviamente non sono qui per dirvi come spendere i vostri soldi ma posso almeno dirvi perchè penso che questi prodotti non debbano necessariamente avere un prezzo astronomico.
- Blush/Bronzer: In entrambi i casi la differenza tra i vari colori è impercettibile una volta sfumati tendono ad essere tutti simili. Quindi, il mio consiglio è di prendere una PALETTE (come quelle che escono per Natale che contengono più colori per un prezzo migliore): so che le cialdine tendono ad essere più piccole ma realisticamente non penso che ne finirò mai una e se dovesse accadere, allora sarò più che felice di comprare una full size.
- Correttore/Mascara/Sopracciglia/Matita Labbra: Pensate alle vostre necessità, per esempio, io non ho molte occhiaie, perciò per me investire in un correttore non è una priorità quando posso trovare qualcosa di fantastico per un prezzo piuttosto piccolo. Ovviamente questo cambia di persona in persona, ma in ogni caso costoso non implica migliore.
- Cipria: Trovo che la cipria sia un prodotto davvero noioso per il quale non vi va mai di spendere ma dopotutto sono un’ amante del make up perciò se avessi i soldi li investirei in una cipria costosa solo per il packaging, non è una priorità (visto che sono perennemente squattrinata uso principalmente cose economiche) ma c’è qualcosa di speciale nel ritoccarsi il trucco in uno specchio sofisticato!
Makeup Save or Splurge: Investi:
Personalmente sono convinta ci siano alcuni prodotti per i quali è necessario spendere un pochino di più per ottenere dei risultati soddisfacenti e che quindi meritano la spesa.
- Primer: Avendo la pelle grassa sia degli occhi che del viso preferisco spendere un po’ di più per la base per entrambi altrimenti il mio make up non durerebbe un’ora. Aggiungo che soffrendo di acne, ho la sensazione che spendendo un po’ di più per un primer di qualità ottengo anche dei benefici per la cura della pelle.
- Fondotinta: Ad essere sinceri uso sia fondotinta costosi che economici perchè sono molto specifica su quello che cerco: mi piace una bassa/media coprenza e un finish opaco: di solito queste due caratteristiche non vanno di pari passo perciò se trovo qualcosa che funziona tendo ad usarla indipendentemente dal prezzo.
- Ombretto: Non uso MAI ombretti economici perchè quando lo faccio non sono mai soddisfatta del risultato. Anche quando ero più piccola e dovevo vivere con 10€ di paghetta a settimana cercavo sempre di risparmiare per poter comprare ombretti di MAC e Urban Decay perchè oltre ad essere più pigmentati e burrosi trovavo (e trovo ancora) che abbiano dei riflessi ed un’intensità superiore rispetto alle versioni economiche. Al contrario credo che gli ombretti in crema economici siano eccezionali.
- Eyeliner: Nella maggior parte dei casi uso eyeliner in penna, più specificatamente o uso il Tattoo Liner di Kat Von D o lo Stay All Day di Stila, perchè durano tantissimo, sono facili da utilizzare e il colore è un nero intenso. Tutto questo lo potete trovare anche in un eyeliner da drugstore: quello che per me però chiude i giochi è che quei due NON SI SECCANO IN UN MESE (come fanno quelli di essence, NYX e tutti gli altri marchi economici) perciò per me a lungo termine compensano l’investimento (comprare due volte l’anno un eyeliner da 20€ equivale a comprarne 10 da 4€). La mia opinione cambia se si parla di matite e eyeliner in gel: non c’è bisogno di spendere troppo per quelli, se ne trovano di pazzeschi nella grande distribuzione.
- Illuminante: Non dico che gli illuminanti economici siano brutti ma trovo che tendono ad essere più gessosi e glitterati rispetto a quelli più costosi che riescono a dare quella luminosità naturale che tutti noi amiamo.
Rossetti e Lip Gloss
Devo creare una categoria a parte per loro perchè sono il mio tallone d’Achille, amo il rossetto in tutte le sue forme e a qualunque costo. Non mi sento mai in colpa a comprare un rossetto, non riesco ad essere ragionevole perciò non sono la più qualificata nel dare consigli.
Se mi piace il colore, la formula o il packaging (o anche solo due di queste) lo compro!

Makeup Save or Splurge: Consigli:
Credo sia giusto concludere con un riassunto dei miei migliori consigli:
- Le palette sono sempre un affare migliore: risparmiate per poterne acquistare qualcuna durante il periodo natalizio.
- Riflettete su quali sono le vostre necessità: avete delle occhiaie tremende? Forse è il caso di investire in un buon correttore! Le sopracciglia rade sono un vostro cruccio? Magari una buona pomade è quello che vi ci vuole e così via.
- Prezzo alto e buona qualità non vanno sempre di pari passo: ci sono delle vere gemme nascoste nei drugstore.
- Riflettete sui benefici che potreste avere: fondotinta infusi con la skincare, per esempio.
- Infine, pensate a quello che vi rende FELICI! Questa è la cosa più importante, se avere centinaia di rossetti porta gioia nella vostra vita o avere quell’illuminante con il packaging bellissimo vi fa sentire delle principesse ogni volta che lo usate: compratelo, non ve ne pentirete!

I loved this post! It is so hard to figure out what to save and splurge on. I have personally noticed that when you splurge you have a higher chance of getting a quality product, but there is always a chance for something amazing in the drugstore. For example, I have two drugstore foundations that I love and countless high end ones that didn’t work for me. However, all my other products apart from setting spray and brow gel is all high end, because it works better for me.

The one beauty brand that I love splurging on is Fenty Beauty. I love everything about it. I do love your SAVE list esp the L’Oreal one. I usebecause I’m really all about saving money this year. I hope I can stick to it.

One of the best concelears I ever bought was from Tesco and it cost me only about 2 quid. I used it so often that unfortunately the branding wore off and I couldn’t buy it again because I didn’t know the name. I agree that some products are very good even if they don’t cost a lot.
Could it be by Collection? I know that packaging rubs off and it’s good and affordable? I definitely agree with you with the rest! X

I love make up. I don’t mind buy expensive one as long as it has a good quality and really fits on my skin type. But I buy drugstore makeup too. There so much great brand at the drugstore.

Makeup can be pretty expensive, but it’s not always necessary to splurge for good quality. It’s okay to go for cheaper brands of products like mascara and lipstick. Splurging is advised on items like foundation and eyeshadow.
