Ciao Darlings, nel post di oggi intervisterò Jackie Wyers.
Non avete idea di quanto sia emozionata all’idea di scrivere questo post, non riesco a smettere di sorridere! Se mi seguite da un po’ saprete che la mia youtuber preferita DI SEMPRE è JACKIE WYERS!
Beh, oggi ho l’opportunità di INTERVISTARLA per il mio blog!!! Sono EUFORICA! Qualche settimana fa ho avuto l’idea folle di voler intervistare le mie youtuber preferite (lei è la mia preferita in assoluto ma ce ne sono tanti altri che mi piacciono, perciò se vi piace questa serie cercherò di mantenerla) ad essere onesti non la credevo neanche una cosa possibile.
Perciò quando le ho mandato la richiesta su instagram credevo non mi avrebbe neanche risposto, men che meno che accettasse di fare parte di questo progetto ed è per questo che sono felicissima oggi di presentarla a chi di voi non la conoscesse o di dare la possibilità di conoscerla meglio a chi già la conosce!
Uno speciale ringraziamento va a Jackie per essere stata un vero tesoro e aver accettato di essere far parte di questa mia idea folle, non c’è ovviamente bisogno di dire che vi lascio tutti i suoi link alla fine di questa intervista e che consiglio caldamente a tutti di seguirla, se già non lo fate!
- Chi è la prima YouTuber che hai iniziato a vedere?
La prima YouTuber che ho visto è Michelle Phan. Mi ero appena trasferita dal Canada al Belgio nell’estate del 2007 e passavo il tempo a imparare a truccarmi prima di iniziare le scuole medie!
- Se fossi un prodotto di make up, cosa saresti?
Penso sarei un lucidalabbra – Adoro quando le mie labbra splendono e brillano!
- Qual’è la cosa che più ti infastidisce (*La parola che ho usato è “pet peeve”, che non ha una vera e propria traduzione, intende un fastidio non nel senso serio del termine, ma più un cruccio come quando qualcuno mastica rumorosamente, fastidio è la parola più vicina) nel mondo beauty?
Penso che un vero e proprio fastidio che ho è successo a tutti almeno una volta ovvero la non sfumatura del fondotinta sul collo… Lo STACCO DI COLORE tra viso e collo! A volte succede quando ci si prepara di corsa – capita a tutti – ma il miglior consiglio che ho è state attenti che la linea non ci sia.
- Qual’è la tua tendenza di make up preferita?
Adoro ricreare look retro/vintage dandogli un tocco di modernità, un buon modo per crearlo è fare le labbra rosse ma di due toni un po’ diversi! Se volete provare qualcosa di nuovo e un po’ audace, questo trend è molto divertente.
- Quale celebrità non vedi sempre l’ora di vedere sui red carpet?
Adoro vedere Selena Gomez sui red carpet, lei è sempre elegante e chic. In più salvo sempre i suoi selfie pubblicati dal suo makeup artist Hung Vanngo su Instagram per usarli come ispirazione!
- Qual’è la tua marca di trucchi preferita?
Per me è un po’ difficile scegliere una marca sola… Perciò ve ne dico un po’! Tra gli economici amo Revlon, specialmente i loro rossetti e la collezione PhotoReady. Uso molto anche Benefit nella vita di tutti i giorni e penso sia un marchio molto femminile e unico con prodotti di qualità. Alcuni dei miei preferiti sono la matita per sopracciglia Goof Proof e i loro blush. Infine, le palette di Too Faced sono sempre molto divertenti, creative e anche molto pigmentate.
- Qual’è il tuo tutorial preferito tra quelli che hai fatto?
Vado molto fiera del mio Rose from the Titanic hairstyles tutorial perchè ho provato davvero a cercare di creare look che fossero il più accurati possibile, ma che fossero comunque facili da realizzare a casa!
Come make up tutorial invece, adoro ricreare il look ICONICO di Cindy Crawford nella pubblicità per la Pepsi al SUPERBOWL. E’ il make up che scelgo quando voglio sentirmi glam e ho usato la Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette che è ancora una delle mie preferite!
- Qual’è il primo ricordo che hai legato al make up?
Questa è divertente… Mettevo religiosamente prodotti labbra prima di andare a letto in attesa del primo bacio. Il lip butter di The Body Shop al Cocco era un must quando ero alle medie e ancora ne ho uno in borsa! Probabilmente il primo prodotto effettivo che ho utilizzato è stato il correttore quando sono arrivati i primi brufoli… Ma questo ricordo è meno divertente.
- Qual’è il primo prodotto che hai comprato?
Questa è più difficile perchè ho iniziando prendendo in prestito i trucchi di mia mamma… ma dirò che è stata questa palette ramata di Almay!
- Cosa consiglieresti a qualcuno che vuole iniziare un carriera nel mondo dei blog/youtube? Qual’è il tuo consiglio migliore?
Il mio miglior avviso è creare contenuti basati sui tuoi interessi e essere costante con i post. Ci sono tantissimi creatore online perciò postare regolarmente ti può aiutare con l’esposizione.
Penso comunque sia sempre una buona idea prendersi del tempo per conoscere e interagire con il tuo pubblico man mano che posti per vedere che tipo di contenuti apprezzano di più. Per esempio, ho notato che tra i miei video quelli che hanno più successo sono quelli basati sui personaggi di nuove serie di Netflix perciò sto attenta a questi show e cerco lì le mie ispirazioni! Visto che però amo TV & Film, tenermi al passo con le nuove uscite non sembra mai lavoro.

What a great opportunity – and you asked some great questions. My biggest make-up fear is the foundation line so I’m really glad even super beauty bloggers fear this too. I’m always super careful to make sure I blend around the edges of my face as I can’t imagine much worse than the awful line.
