Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment, I have the shade Naturally Nude.
If you saw my Christmas Wishlist you’d know that I really wanted this lip balm and my wonderful sister Queen got it for me, so today I’m reviewing it for you.
According to Kiehl’s website, it should be:
“Supremely hydrating and smoothing balm with a nourishing blend of oils and kinds of butter. It’s made with Coconut Oil, with antioxidants, including Lemon Butter, combined with broad-spectrum SPF 25 sunscreen. Lips feel and look softer, smoother and moisturized, and stay hydrated for up to 12 hours after application.”
The Kiehl’s Naturally Nude Butterstick Lip Treatment comes in six different shades all available at kiehls.com or in stores for 19,50$. It’s a really nice product but in my opinion, it’s a bit overpriced but if you are a lip balm fan like myself you’ll love it.
PACKAGING
One of the things that most stood out to me is the packaging, it’s so PRETTY and very luxurious, it comes in a cardboard box, it’s heavy, the top is a twist up, which I think makes it very fancy and I absolutely love the rose gold bullet.
Of course, it’s not all about the packaging but when I opened it the first time I was so surprised of how nice it looks, definitely more high end than a regular chapstick, as you would expect since it’s more expensive.
EFFECT
I’m low key OBSESSED with this lip balm, I love the colour it gives, I was worried it might sink into the fine lines of the lips as it’s such a light colour but it didn’t.
The shade I have is Naturally Nude it’s a classic sheer MLBB (My Lips But Better) that I adore. It’s so perfect for everyday wear.
I find it very hydrating and comfortable to wear. You can see my lips look juicy and plumped yet very natural.
CONS
The only cons I can find is the taste: when you first put it on it tastes and smells minty and it’s very pleasant but after about 20 minutes or so the taste changes and it becomes really plasticky I think because it has sunscreen in it.
To be honest, I’m really sensitive to scents and I still use it all the time, so it’s nothing unbearable but it’s annoying.

I really like this lip balm. The shade is so pretty and it keeps my lips really hydrated. I also really like the packaging as it looks more like a lipstick rather than a lip balm. I’m not a fan of the taste but since I love this product so much I couldn’t care any less. Overall I recommend it if you want something easy and effortless to wear every day.

How are the ingredients? I find with some Kiels products that they aren’t the “cleanest” and I’m really trying to buy more natural products lately. Color is beautiful!

We keep tons of different lip balm around this time of year. Haven’t heard of this brand. Do like the color and we will see if it works.

The color is lovely, and your lips look beautiful. I’m not sure I would get past the taste. That sounds rather expensive for something that tastes bad.
