Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, and this is going to be a DOUBLE REVIEW: both my sista Julia (normal/dry skin) and I (oily/combination skin) use it so you can see from two prospective how this product works.
Let me tell you, she recently become obsessed with make up and I take full credit for it, but when we were younger I remember she only wore a few things and concealer was one of them, so I really trust her recommendations.
I don’t have really heavy dark circles but I have fine lines, so I mainly need a long lasting product (it’s called Longwear), so I combined Julia’s suggestions plus the fact that MAC was on sale for 20% off that day and you know, I basically HAD TO BUY IT!
You can get it on maccosmetics.com or in store for 23$
It comes in a cardboard box. The actual bottle is made of glass and it has a pump. It contains 9ml of product that will easily last you forever: Julia used it almost every day for two years and just now she had to buy a new bottle.
We not the biggest fan of the glass bottle: it looks nice and fancy but I’m personally incredibly clumsy so I’m always scared to break it.
I appreciate the pump as it’s really sanitary but it gets quite dirty and disperses too much product, you won’t need a full pump to cover your undereye area, I always use half of what I disperse, therefore I would prefer a doe foot applicator that will make me waste less product.
I use the shade NC20 which is a perfect match for me.
This concealer other than the amazing lasting power it has medium to full coverage, Julia has really dark undereye and it covers them perfectly without looking heavy or cakey. It blends seamlessly with your skin.
As you can see the concealer is nice a liquidy when you first apply it. It’s really easy to blend, I use a brush but your fingertip will work too, and once it sets it becomes a really nice satin finish that will last all day long.
I usually use a powder on top, Julia doesn’t: so whether to set it or not depends on your preference, I’ve also tried without powder and the lasting power didn’t change.
She also uses it as an eye primer and it makes her eyeshadow last longer. I have extremely oily eyelids so it’s enough for me.
I don’t like it on pimples because it tends to show up and doesn’t last as long
Even at the end of the day, your concealer will still be in place and you’ll have to take it off with makeup remover.

We are absolutely obsessed with this concealer, it covers dark circles amazingly, it’s easy to apply and to blend, it lasts a long time and in the long run, it’s worth the investment because you use such a small amount it will last you forever. It never looks dry or cakey even at the end of the day. The packaging is not the most travel-friendly but it’s nice and fancy so it’s not a big problem. Just need to be careful.
