Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the L’Oreal Infallible Pore Refining Primer.
I’ve been using it in my everyday routine so today I’m going to share with you my thoughts about it.
L’Oreal recently came out with three new face primers an illuminating one, an anti-redness one and this Pore Refining one.
I’ve swatched the colour correcting one but it had glitters in it and with my larger pores I didn’t think it was a smart idea, but if you are interested I can try it for you. Anyway, the pore refining one sounded like the one for me as I have larger pores on my cheeks.
You can get the L’Oreal Pore Refining Primer here for about 13$.
The packaging is pretty, I like the pump as it’s really hygienic but it disperses slightly too much product. You need don’t need a lot of it, less than a pea-size.
It looks really nice and sleek, plus I OBVIOUSLY LOVE pink.
It contains less than the product than what I thought, only 20ml.
This primer feels like a normal cream, it doesn’t feel like a silicone product and the pink tint makes the skin look more radiant.
Once you put it on it’s a little shiny but it dries into a satin finish.
It makes my skin quite smooth (I hope you can see it from the photos)doesn’t grab to dry patches and it fills in pores and fine lines.
The best way to apply it is by dabbing it on with your fingers.
That being said it doesn’t work for my skin type. This primer doesn’t keep me matt, which is not supposed to do it but I tent to get oiler through the day which breaks my foundation on my smile lines and on my chin.
So although I like the effect at the beginning it doesn’t help me through the day like other primers do like my NYX Angel Veil and I have to use it combined with another one more mattifying.
If this is not a problem for you, it is a really nice product but I would recommend it for a more dry/normal skin.
Sadly this primer doesn’t make my make up last too long as my natural oils come through and break my foundation. Again it might work differently for another skin type or combined with another primer.
Personally, I don’t like to pile on primers so I don’t think I’ll keep using it especially going into the hotter months.
- Effect: 7/10
- Longevity: 6/10
- Application: 8/10
- Texture: 9/10
- Packaging: 9/10
Sadly this product doesn’t work for my skin type. It does minimize my pores and I like the packaging so it does what it’s supposed to do, but it doesn’t keep me matt and it doesn’t make my foundation last longer, therefore, it’s not for me. I don’t think is better than other products so, in my opinion, it’s not worth the extra effort of using it combined with another primer. If you have larger pores and a more dry/normal skin I think you’ll love it.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
