So today’s “NEW” post is going to be a bit different, I noticed that most of the times after brands release a new collection they keep releasing bits of products that don’t make a full collection but that I still want to talk about here with you. Especially with drugstore products.
So every once in a while when there isn’t a good full collection Julia and I are going to talk about some NEW RELEASES all in the same post instead of making one for each product.
Today we are talking about some new make up by Maybelline, L’Oréal, Nars, Anastasia and Stila all of them are already available apart from the Norvina palette that comes out on the 17th of July.
NEITHER JULIA NOR I HAVE TESTED THIS PRODUCTS SO OUR OPINION ARE PURELY BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW FROM THE BRAND AND WHAT WE SEE ONLINE, OF COURSE WE MIGHT BE WRONG SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE TRIED ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENTS
Mimi: I’m freaking done! I’m not the biggest lover of colours but hell I love purple eyeshadow! I love the shimmers, I love the matte, I’m so going to get this palette you have no idea, STUNNING. I love Anastasia’s eyeshadows and this palette looks so unique I’m obsessed.
Julia: This palette is stunning. I think I want it. There are still some nudes that are always helpful but the selection of purple and pink is absolutely stunning, I think it’s going to be true love when we see it live.
Mimi: I don’t like this, I’m not a fan of colourful highlighters and these would also be too dark for my complexion
Julia: It doesn’t inspire me at all, I love highlighters but 1) I have way too many and I don’t need more 2) I’m not a fan of face palettes and 3) It looks too glittery for my tastes.
Mimi: I know myself I think I’ll pick up this palette, maybe just to test it for the blog, it looks so pretty and I’ve heard that Maybelline has improved the quality of their shadows. The colours are so up my street.
Julia: The colours are stunning, but I don’t really trust drugstore eyeshadows quality so I’ll have to see, it looks very pretty.
There are ten shades available: Abruzzo (metallic rose gold), First Sight (clear with gold pearl), Baden Baden (deep aubergine), Cape Town (metallic gold with pink shimmer), Red District (vivid red), Santo Domingo (mauve pink), Mississippi (dark black cherry), Conquest (warm pink), Everglades (black with gold pearl) and Valencia (bright pink coral) (26$ each)
Mimi: The nudes look very pretty but these kind of super pigmented glosses are no my cup of tea, the dark ones give me anxiety because I’m always afraid of them smudging all over my face. I think I’ll pass.
Julia: These are stunning! I like the two shimmery ones (not the white), the more golden one totally reminds me of Shameless from Huda Beauty which I own. I’ll have to see them in real life.
There are six shades available: Candy Man, Dose Of Cocoa, Sweet Tooth, Box O’Chocolate, Bittersweet and 70% Yum (10$ each)
Mimi: Yesss, they look so pretty, there is nothing I don’t like about these, in fact, I may already have them in an order coming in. I got the shades Dose Of Cocoa and Candy Man.
Julia: They are so pretty, I like that they are all nude but all in different tones, I like drugstore lipsticks, I might take a serious look at them.
There are six new shades available: Vivid Garnet (vivid pomegranate), Vivid Jade (vibrant green), Vivid Labradorite (charcoal), Vivid Sapphire (vibrant dark blue), Vivid Amethyst (vibrant purple) and Vivid Smoky Quartz (espresso) (24$ each).
Mimi: I really want to try these shadows but I don’t like the new shades, I don’t really wear dark shadows a lot so I’d totally go with one of the lighter shades. They look pretty in theory but they aren’t for me.
Julia: I don’t like these shades, I like the more classic neutral ones. I’d pass them.
It’s available in eight shades: Black Cherry Baby (bronze cherry), Mocha Choco-lata! (pinky nude), Sugar Sugar (champagne-gold shimmer), Uh-Huh Honey (brown sugar shimmer), P(r)each (bright apricot), Candy Bling (red raspberry), Sweet Escape (pink lemonade) and One Mauve Time (soft berry-mauve) (28$ each)
Mimi: Ok if the shade I liked weren’t sold out on Sephora website I would already have two of these. I’m a sucker for fancy lip balms, they are my weakness and I love Marc Jacobs.
Julia: Pretty, I like the sheer vibe, nice.
It’s available in twelve shades (29$)
Mimi: The packaging totally reminds me of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua which is one of my favourite foundations and this is definitely cheaper but I really don’t like the packaging, the product inside might be good but to be honest, the packaging really turns me off to the point that I rather save and get the Chanel one instead. This looks like kids make up.
Julia: I hate the packaging, I mean it could be the best quality but I don’t care about the finish or anything else that packaging is awful! Seriously kids make up. No.
