Hi Darlings, so today we are talking yet again about Kylie Cosmetics because they just launched the 21 Collection in honour of Kylie’s birthday on the 10th of August.
I know the packaging for this collection is a bit self-celebrating but if I were Kylie I would have done something similar for my birthday! People who hate her and think she’s egocentric will still do whatever she does.
Anyway, this collection is quite big with six new lipsticks, a liquid lipstick trio, a highlighter, an eyeshadow palette, three liquid shadows, three lip kits and a mini liquid lipstick kit.
NEITHER JULIA NOR I HAVE TESTED THIS PRODUCTS SO OUR OPINION ARE PURELY BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW FROM THE BRAND AND WHAT WE SEE ONLINE, OF COURSE WE MIGHT BE WRONG SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE TRIED ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENTS
You can get it on kyliecosmetics.com from the 6th of August.
It comes with six new shades: Glam (fuchsia), Birthday Behavior (true red), Flirtini (dark rose), Rumor (burgundy red), Rager (warm red) and August (nude) (90$ for the bundle or 17$ each)
Mimi: This is such a pretty selection of shades, the two reds look too similar though. I really want to try this formula from her but I don’t think I’ll get this set since I really don’t like the bright packaging.
Julia: I don’t really understand the bright packaging but it’s pretty! I like the shade range, August is very nice.
It comes with three shades: The After Party (bright red, matte), Shots (red with gold glitter, gloss) and Victoria (dark red, matte) (36$)
Mimi: I really don’t like these shades, I mean they are just three reds and honestly I’d never wear that gloss.
Julia: It’s not bad, I don’t feel the necessity for a lot of reds in my life but the shades are very pretty.
Mimi: Let me just address the elephant in the room, this looks a lot like the Urban Decay Born To Run palette, but I definitely like this selection of colours a lot better. I love the pinks and the browns look amazing. Very pretty and very tempting.
Julia: I don’t like the packaging. I don’t like palettes with the picture of the creator on top (like Huda’s for example), It looks very nice but maybe too many colours. I don’t know about the formula because I’ve never tried them so we’ll see.
Mimi: This is nothing new, people always get excited about new highlighters. I know myself and these kinds of champagnes never look too good on me.
Julia: I need to see it on, it looks nice though, it kind of looks like Mary Lou-Manizer from the Balm but it’s nice.
It comes in three shades: Eat Cake (pink gold), Born To Sparkle (olive gold), Fine Wine (purple) (20$ cad)
Mimi: I like the pink shade and I absolutely dislike the other two shades. No pass.
Julia: I really like this packaging, I love the glitters too: the pink one is my favourite but I also like the gold one. I think the formula of the purple one is not going to be the best just because purple is a bit challenging to make.
It comes in three shades: Twenty One (coral pink), Baddie (orange) and Tipsy (warm fuchsia). They all come with a matching lip liner. (30$ each)
Mimi: I never wear these kinds of shades, they don’t look good on me so it’s a pass for me.
Julia: I really like these shades, I like all of them.
It comes with six mini liquid lipsticks: Boss (blue toned red), Victoria (dark red), Rad (orangey red), Say No More (bright fuchsia), Boy Bye (dark nude) and Queen (warm nude). Queen is the only new shade out of these. (36$)
Mimi: I think the mini kit is such a brilliant idea to allow people to try more shades. That being said I don’t like these ones. I’m such a nude kind of girl!
Julia: Pretty but I don’t think they are necessary. I like Boy Bye, Boss and Victoria but they are pretty.
