Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer.
If you have been on youtube in the past year or so you would have seen this bronzer everywhere, so of course I had to try it for myself, but I couldn’t find a shade for me.
I ended up picking the shade Bronzer, which I think is the second lightest one, but when I was swatching it in the store I thought all the shades were too light for me and you see me, I’m not super tan so I got a bit confused. All the shades looked like setting powder on me.
You can get it here for 14,99$ and it’s available in 4 shades.
PACKAGING
The packaging is very summery and colourful. Not my personal favourite but I appreciate that is quite sturdy although it is very bulky.
It comes with a mirror and a sponge applicator which I immediately threw away, I’m not entirely sure how am I supposed to use it to put on bronzer, it’s literally a sponge.
It smells like coconut, I love the scent, it’s perfect for summer.
PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
The formula is super soft in the pan which makes the bronzer feel almost creamy.
It has a sheer coverage but it’s really easy to layer, I love it for everyday looks since it doesn’t look muddy.
It never looks cakey or powdery, it doesn’t enhance texture and pores despite the slight shimmer.
The colour looks so natural on me like I’m actually tan and it’s not as light as I thought.
APPLICATION
It’s really easy to apply and to blend, it mashes with the skin becoming one with it.
SWATCH
LASTING POWER
On me, it lasts around 7 hours before starting to fade.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 9/10
- Longevity: 7/10
- Application: 9/10
- Texture: 9/10
- Pigmentation: 8/10
- Packaging: 6/10
GRADE: A-
I really like this bronzer. I love the colour, it’s the perfect bronzer shade for me. I love the scent, which is so not important but I love it. It applies and looks beautiful on the skin. I’m not the biggest fan of the packaging and the sponge is useless. I don’t think the shade range is the best but I can definitely see why so many people love it. I’ve been using it a lot.

I love that applicator! I’ll have to try this one out. Thank you for the review!
The applicator is useless but the bronzer is awesome ??
I hate the sponge applicator with a passion and I really don’t like the packaging. I love the scent and it’s such a great formula but I think it might be starting to break me out (and break my heart)
OMG ???? that is so sad! It happened to me with Nars Turkish Delight gloss!
