It makes me overly happy that you enjoyed the first part of this post, I got such a positive response, you can read it here in case you missed it: Beauty Revolutions: 5 Things That Changed The Beauty World.
So today I thought I could do a part two and bring you 5 MORE Beauty Revolutions that sparked in my mind in the last couple of weeks.
Again if you haven’t read the first part I explain it a lot better there but essentially we are talking about people, brands or product that in a way or another started a trend that changed the way we do our make up.
URBAN DECAY AND THE NAKED PALETTE
This palette is about to be discontinued which makes me so SAD! It was the very first palette I’ve owned and I still have it. Urban Decay changed the beauty world with this palette, I mean before we didn’t even know what a palette was.
This palette is so beautiful and easy to use, I think every single person that loves make up (even those who don’t) had some sort of interaction with it at least once in their life.
Now we have neutral palettes EVERYWHERE but this is the OG, the first love, we will never forget it.
URBAN DECAY AND THE PRIMER POTION
Another Urban Decay hit because when you are revolutionary you just are.
I have the oiliest eyelids and I remember life before the Primer Potion when my eyeshadow creased after one hour, I remember when I saw it for the first time on YouTube in the hands of an American girl, I wanted it so badly and I definitely remember when it arrived in Italy and I saw it for the first time. I was so excited!
The primer potion helped so many people out, including myself and it definitely changed the way we do our make up.
I never had them but I remember the first time I saw someone, that wasn’t a professional make up artist, using a brush and it was from Sigma.
They made something that was only for professional available for everyone and common people skills improved so much. Common people could actually try and do their make up well.
No finger will ever be able to create a smokey eye and thanks to Sigma we all could be a bit more of a make up artist.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS AND THE MODERN RENAISSANCE
Do you remember the days where no one would wear red eyeshadow because it would have made you look sick?
Then Anastasia created this baby and now red shadows and more in general, warm tones are everywhere. It all started here. It might not have been the first one but I don’t recall red eyeshadows before this palette (correct me if I’m wrong).
KYLIE JENNER’S LIPS
I’m not actually talking about her lips but about the colour of them. Now don’t tell me you have never defined (or heard someone define) a dark nude lipstick a “Kylie Jenner shade”.
I remember when everyone went crazy to find out which shades she was using to make her sexy pout and when it came out that it was either MAC Soar or Whirl those shades went SOLD OUT in seconds.
She literally brought back those shades from the 90s and now everyone has some sort of “Kylie Jenner shade” in their collection.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE REVOLUTIONS? DO YOU AGREE WITH ME? DO YOU REMEMBER OTHER ONES THAT I HAVEN’T MENTION? CAN’T WAIT TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS!
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
