Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Rimmel Maxi Blush, in Sweet Cheeks (004).
I don’t have the best of luck with Rimmel products, to be honest, I’ve tried their lipsticks and foundation in the past but the scent always makes me sick. I’ve never been lucky with their powders too, they are often chalky and patchy.
That’s not a great start for a review, isn’t it? But for the love of beauty, I’m always willing to give a brand more chances so here I am today reviewing this blush which looked promising.
You can get it here for 7.97$.
The shade is a matt peach, such a versatile and pretty everyday shade that will look good on many people.
The packaging is very simple and minimal, I like that I can see the shade through the top.
The pan is quite big and the shade name is on the back.
PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
The formula is quite hard and stiff especially when you swatch it, it has medium pigmentation.
It doesn’t have any fallout and it’s not too chalky.
It is not super pigmented but you can layer it. If you are not careful it can get patchy, you have to blend it well.
On me it lasts around 6 hours before starting to fade.
- Colour: 9/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 7/10
- Texture: 6/10
- Pigmentation: 7/10
- Packaging: 10/10
This blush is very pretty, it looks like you are naturally flushed but it’s also quite hard to apply since it can get patchy easily. The lasting power is ok. If you like the colour you can get it since it’s not awful in any way but it’s not something I would run out to buy. For that price is a good blush.
