Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Becca Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer.
I recently got this concealer because I ran out for my MAC Pro Longwear which you know I absolutely love but I kind of wanted to try something new.
A far as I know this concealer is fairly new (it was on the new page on Sephora Italia) but I’m pretty sure it is a recent release in the US too, correct me if I’m wrong. Anyway, I haven’t heard anyone talking about it but the name makes it sound pretty good.
I got the shade Birch, which is a bit too cool tone for me but I can make it work.
You can get it from Sephora for 29$.
PACKAGING
The packaging is a thick and small tube in a hard plastic material. The shade name is written on the bottom. It is really chic and sturdy, I like it.
It has a flat and pointy doe foot applicator that I love, it picks up just the right amount of product and the point makes it super easy to be precise.
EFFECT
Here you can see the concealer is nice a liquidy when you first apply it. It’s a bit tricky to blend because you really don’t need a lot and if you put on too much it’s a disaster. I use a damp sponge but your fingertip will work too, and once it sets it becomes a really nice satin finish.
I’ve been having quite a dry under eye lately and sadly this concealer grabbed to dry patches becoming quite uneven and patchy. I was able to really hydrate the area and after that, I didn’t have the same issue but if you have dry skin you are going to hate it.
COVERAGE
As you can see I’m blessed with pretty light dark circles today but I have fine lines where my concealer tend to crease a lot.
This concealer has medium to full coverage, which covers my dark circles quite well.
LASTING POWER
I started to bake my concealer with powder (nothing heavy) because if I don’t my concealer creases immediately but I found that this way my concealer doesn’t crease too soon. It lasts for about 4 hours before creasing again.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 7/10
- Longevity: 6/10
- Application: 7/10
- Texture: 8/10
- Pigmentation: 9/10
- Packaging: 8/10
GRADE: C
This concealer is nice, it has really good coverage and I love the packaging because it makes it super easy to use but it creases on me especially if I don’t bake it. That being said if you have even the slightest dryness or you put too much on it will look terrible. So be aware of that and make sure to moisturize well beforehand. In my opinion, is a bit too tricky to use it to totally recommend it but it’s not horrible and I can still use it, definitely not worth the price.

I’ve been looking for a great concelor that also works in high heat/humidity. I’m in SWFL and it’s had to find makeup here that won’t slide off your face. Do you think this would work for me?
It wouldn’t, I think that MAC Pro Long Wear would be a smarter choice xx
I need this concealer in my life. I mean, my under eye bags are REAL and no amount of sleep has been helping!
I hope it works for you better than it does for me
After reading your review, I feel like this is perfect concealer for this season! I have recieved a sample of it, and now I am so excited to try it! Also, speaking of powders: have you tried Laura Mercier eye setting powder? It’s an eye saver 🙂
Let me know how you like it, I hope it will work for you. Laura Mercier is a pain to find in Italy so I’ve been using the Too Faced Peach Perfect but eventually I’ll try it. It’s such a hit I know I’m missing out ??
Thanks for the honest review. I always love learning about new products, especially the ones Sephora carries.
Thank you for reading xx
Ah probably not the best for me as I have dry skin x
No, I wouldn’t recommend it x
