Today’s review is going to be of the Sephora Pore & Fine Line Filler Primer.
My sister recently bought this and I couldn’t resist, I had to try it, but I have to say, after trying the Clarins Sos Primer, my expectations are definitely high. Every new primer I try has to compete with that one.
This one kind of reminded me of the Benefit POREfessional that is a total bestseller and I’ve definitely loved it in the past. Guarantee this Sephora one is more affordable.
You can get it here for 14$
The packaging is pretty, I like the squeezy tube as it disperses the right amount of product without wasting any of it. You need don’t need a lot of product, less than a pea-size.
It doesn’t feel particularly fancy but it gets the job done.
EFFECT & TEXTURE
This primer feels quite silicone and velvety, as you can see it’s slightly tinted but it ends up being completely invisible on the skin.
Sadly it doesn’t make my skin any smoother but it’s very matte which is not what I wanted, mainly because my skin it’s not as oily as it used to be so although the final effect is not terrible in my opinion it doesn’t do what it is supposed to do, fill my pores, which you can still see from the photos.
The best way to apply it is by dabbing it on with your fingers.
I was amazed by the lasting power: my foundation stayed on and matt for about 8 hours which was rather impressive.
- Effect: 5/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 8/10
- Texture: 9/10
- Packaging: 9/10
Sadly this product doesn’t work for my skin type. It doesn’t minimize my pores and too matt for my tastes. I like the packaging and the final effect is nice but it won’t do much for your pores. If you have oily skin though I think you might really like it as it kept me very matt all day.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
