Hi Darlings, in today’s post Julia and I are going to chat about the NEW Jeffree Star Cosmetics Alien Collection.
This is his holiday collection and as pretty usual with Jeffree it’s not themed, but I have to say, I love the Alien theme (we both don’t like the packaging though the palette is a bit too bulky and the shimmer on the liquid lipstick makes the lipsticks on the inside look shimmery when they are not).
The collection includes: a palette, eight liquid lipsticks, four regular lipsticks and four lip scrubs.
NEITHER JULIA NOR I HAVE TESTED THIS PRODUCTS SO OUR OPINION ARE PURELY BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW FROM THE BRAND AND WHAT WE SEE ONLINE, OF COURSE WE MIGHT BE WRONG SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE TRIED ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENTS
This collection is already available on jeffreestarcosmetics.com
Mimi: This palette is not my cup of tea sorry, nothing wrong with it and I’m sure that the quality is incredible but I personally don’t like it.
Julia: I like the shades (even if I normally prefer warmer tones) but the packaging is a pass for me, I don’t like the weird shape and I have to say something I don’t really appreciate in these new palettes is that the eyeshadow pans are smaller than the ones in his first palettes and I also don’t like when palettes have too many shades in it, they distract me.
VELOUR LIQUID LIPSTICKS
It comes in eight shades: Can’t Relate (warm soft nude), Clout (metallic lavender), Jeffree Who? (medium berry wine), Triggered (dark plum brown with reflects glitter), Scandal (light mauve with glitter), yOu’Re sTiLl oN thE pRoPeRty (deep metallic blue), Karma (warn army green), Hi, How Are Ya? (deep burgundy with glitter) (18$ each).
Mimi: I’m DYING at the names of these (if you are Jeffree’s fan like us you’d know!) and I have to say Hi, How Are Ya? and Triggered have my heart, I like both shades so much I might pick them up, we’ll see, I’m kind of curious about his formula.
Julia: One better than the other, while he was showing them in his reveal video my jaw hit the floor. STUNNING, I like Clout (which I’m pretty sure only the model can pull off) and Karma.
It comes in four shades: Alien Tears (icy iridescent white), Galaxy Gold (shimmery gold), Area 51 (metallic green), Beam Me Up (peach with pink reflex) (18$ each).
Mimi: So not my cup tea, I would never wear anything like these, not alone not a lipstick topper.
Julia: I love these, so pretty, I’m not a fan of the green but the others are STUNNING!
VELOUR LIP SCRUBS
It comes in four flavors: Egg Nog, Pumpkin Pie, Salted Caramel, French Toast (12$ each).
Mimi: The scents sound yummy but they are far too pricey for what they are and you can easily make a lip scrub at home with sugar and honey.
Julia: I don’t like them, they are so not necessary, I can make lip scrub at home with sugar and honey.
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS COLLECTION? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BUY? LEAVE US A COMMENT SO WE CAN START A CONVERSATION.
