Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Essence Insta Care Lipstick in the shade Refreshing Pause (03).
The description on the site says:
The lipstick combines the colour of a lipstick with the rich care of a balm. Vitamin E and 20 % shea butter oil pamper the lips intensively – for a supple, soft feeling on the lips.
I usually gravitate towards these kinds of products during the winter time because they pack some colour and moisture to fight dry lips.
You can get it here for around 4$.
The colour is a creamy berry, I was expecting it to be sheerer.
The packaging is very tiny and skinny, the bottom part matches the colour of the lipstick, the shade name is written on the cap.
I like that is this skinny because it makes apply the lipstick super easy since is so precise.
Sadly the scent really bothers me, it smells very chemical, I literally can’t use it because of that.
FORMULA & APPLICATION
The formula is very creamy and it glides on really easily, it’s very thin and it doesn’t feel sticky on the lips, the finish is shiny.
The main problem I have is that I was expecting the colour to be sheerer because since it’s so creamy I’m afraid that it will bleed.
I find it quite hydrating but it’s not the best lip balm I’ve ever tried.
This lip balm lasts for 2 hours on me (without eating), since it’s so shiny I wasn’t expecting an incredible lasting time, but you can reapply it really easily.

This lipstick is ok, I mean I’m giving it away because the scent is too strong for me and I can’t wear it because it makes me nauseous. I also am not a fan of how pigmented it is. Don’t get me wrong, pigmentation is ok but I was expecting something balmier which is the reason why I got it. This is not different from a normal lipstick but it’s creamier (and I wouldn’t buy such a dark shade in such a creamy formula). I think this is a nice product if you don’t mind the scent but if you get it, try a lighter colour, maybe that way, if it bleeds, it won’t be too noticeable.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
