Today’s review is going to be of the Marc Jacobs Highliner Glam Glitter Gel Eye Crayon in the shade Glam Jam.
My sister got this eyeliner for me for Christmas as part of a kit Marc Jacobs made for the holidays, just like the mascara I reviewed last week.
The colour is not something I would personally buy (because is a tricky shade to use) but I love it, every time I passed a Marc Jacobs counter I used to swatch it so I was pleasantly surprised when it was in the kit.
You can get it here for 25$.
The shade is a beautiful glittery red.
The packaging is very classic of an eyeliner but I like that the bottom shows you the shade, the faded effect is gorgeous.
Even if it looks like a pencil it twists up and down. It comes with a sharpener in back to make it the point sharp which I definitely appreciate.
FORMULA & APPLICATION
The formula is very creamy, not to the point that it bleeds, but it’s easy to apply and it doesn’t drag the lid.
Thanks to the sharpener you always have the point so it’s easy to create a precise line.
Since it has glitter in it I wouldn’t recommend using it in the waterline as the glitter could be too scratchy for the area.
I love to use it as an eyeshadow base to make smokey eyes more vibrant. You can blend it easily and it doesn’t create any patches.
On me this lasts about 8 hours, it doesn’t stamp on the lid which is very impressive.

I love this eyeliner, I love the colour, the packaging and the way it applies. I think the lasting power is amazing too. Overall I’m very impressed and the shade is quite unique to justify the price in my book. What I mean is, I would never spend 25$ for a black pencil because drugstore ones are just as good but this shade is so different I think if you like it it’s so worth it.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
