Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Dior Addict Lip Glow To The Max in Rosewood.
If you are familiar with my blog you’d know that the Dior Lip Glows are my favourite lip product of all time, so when I see new shades I like I tend to want them.
This is my princess product, I know is just lip balm and it’s SO EXPENSIVE but I seriously love it and I feel so special when I use it, it’s 100% worth it for me. I have a lot of lipsticks, I mean no jokes, I have a lot of them so to finish something for me is RARE, well, I’ve gone through three of this lip balms, that’s how I know is a keeper.
These Lip Glow To The Max are part of the new Spring collection but these shades are permanent (if you want to read more about the collection here’s the post: NEW | Dior Lollì Glow Collection)
This is the new version that has two colours swirl together, it comes in 7 shades and you can get it here for 34,00$.
COLOUR
The colour is a shimmery pink, I have to say, I don’t love it, I wish it was nuder.
PACKAGING
The packaging is perfection, everything from the box to the bullet, I love it, without a doubt the most beautiful lipstick I own, I take it with me everywhere and it’s a pleasure to touch up on the go.
The scent is incredible, I can’t put my finger on what it exactly smells like but it’s sweet and minty.
FORMULA & APPLICATION
The formula is very creamy and it glides on really easily, it’s very thin and it doesn’t feel sticky on the lips, the finish is shiny.
Since it’s shimmery sadly it sinks into fine lines and my lips are not chapped, so I can’t imagine how bad it can be on someone who has chapped lips. I have to really blend it in with my finger.
I find it quite hydrating but it’s not the best lip balm I’ve ever tried. I wouldn’t use it at night but it’s perfect for the day time.
SWATCH
LASTING POWER
This lip balm lasts for 2 hours on me (without eating), since it’s so shiny I wasn’t expecting an incredible lasting time, but you can reapply it really easily.
RATING:
- Colour: 5/10
- Longevity: 7/10
- Application: 10/10
- Pigmentation: 10/10
- Comfort: 8/10
- Packaging: 10/10
GRADE: B–
I already know I love the formula and the packaging, the problem I have with this lip balm is the colour, it’s too shimmery for my tastes and it enhances lip lines, one of the most impressive things of this lip balm is how nice it glides on the lips, it’s like a perfecting filter and I didn’t get that effect with this shade. If you like it, by all means, I think the product is worth it.

This is so pretty on you 🙂 Love hearing it lasts so long too
Thank you so much dear xxx
$34 for lip gloss is a stretch! I’ll have to sample some of the colors with my skin tone to see if it’s worth the splurge.
There are some pretty dark shades. I’m sure you’ll find something, in my book it’s totally worth the splurge
I’ve tried one of these but in the Pink (original colour?) and I really loved it! It was one of the first and most expensive lip product I have ever purchased and that was about 3-4 years ago.
I have not re-purchased it since because I still cannot justify that price for a “lip balm” product however I adore the Dior Addict lipsticks which are in similar packaging and have better colour payoff (something which I think can be justified a bit more).
OMG I went to three of the pink one, it’s the best! Every time I run out my heart breaks a little ahhah but to me it’s totally worth it because I really use it on a daily bases and when I don’t have one I really feel like I’m missing something. I tried to get it when there are sales 😉
Also I forgot to say for this shade Rosewood – I wasn’t expecting the colour to be so pink! I was expecting more of a rosy tone so I was shocked when I saw how pink it was lol
Exactly my though! I was hoping for a shade similar to MAC patisserie, this is way too pink and too shimmery
It’s gorgeous packaging for sure, but I agree about the shade. It’s too pink for me!
They are definitely not everyday shades xx
Beautiful packaging on this. Not sure if I’d ever splurge for such a pricey lip balm personally, but I totally understand the whole idea of princess products. For me, it’s probably the Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizing Balm, which is basically a really overpriced ($60!!) tinted moisturizer. But I just love it so, so much and would absolutely repurchase it. It gives me hydration & glow unlike any other base product I’ve ever used!
That’s what princess products are all about! I love lip balms (or sheer lipsticks more in general) and I used them all the time, so it makes sense to me to invest into something like that! Bobbi Brown is harder to find here so I don’t know much about the brand but that sounds amazing ?
That’s so true. If it’s something you know you’ll get the wear from, invest in it!
I loooove this line. I’ve barely used anything else since I came across these at Nordstrom. They’re unmatched.
Agree! 100% girl!
Love the design of this product! Looks like a candy ?
If I remember correctly “candy” is the theme of the collection so you are not off with the assumption
Oh neat ??
the scent!? sweet & minty OMG. i know you weren’t loving the shade, but it does look really pretty on you!
Honestly? Best scent ever, thank you so much btw ?
I’m definitely not a pink girl, but I really LOVE this color. Dior has some incredible products, so I’d definitely give this one a try.
I’m not biggest fan of this shade but I’m glad you like it, the formula is amazing
