Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the MAC Pigment in the shade Naked.
Ages ago a YouTuber I used to be obsessed with raved so much about this pigment but money was tight back then and I couldn’t afford to spend 25€ on an eyeshadow so I did what I do best and I asked for a sample (a few actually in many different occasions) and I had this mini jar of Naked pigment which I’ve actually finished completely. I think I used it every day for months!
When I want to MAC a few weeks ago with Julia and there was a sale of 40% on some products including this pigment I had to get it, even if I pretty much never use loose pigments.
You can get it here for 22$.
COLOR
The shade is described as fleshy beige with pearls. They also have a shade called Dark Naked for darker skin tones.
PACKAGING
The packaging is a classic MAC pot which is made out of plastic. The shade name is on the back and it has a plastic cap that prevents the pigment from flying everywhere.
Sadly the extra cap doesn’t seal so if you put the pot upside down it will fly everywhere.
I pretty much hate the packaging, it’s too long and it’s hard to put a brush inside, you can’t put the pigment in the cap because it doesn’t have a sifter so it will spill. They literally could make it so much better.
FORMULA & APPLICATION
The formula is very powdery. The colour is metallic and it’s not patchy at all.
It’s is quite sheer but I like the effect, makes it perfect for everyday wear.
It’s easy to apply and blend with a brush which you can use wet, to make it more metallic, or dry, but if you want to use it dry it won’t fly everywhere.
SWATCH
LASTING POWER
With a primer lasts about 8 hours before it creases.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 10/10
- Longevity: 7/10
- Application: 7/10
- Texture: 9/10
- Pigmentation: 8/10
- Packaging: 3/10
GRADE: B-
This eyeshadow is so pretty. I hate the packaging, it’s so hard to carry around, you have to be ready to have it spill everywhere but for me, it’s worth the extra work, I love to use it every day with a simple winged liner. I like the shade so much it’s so delicate but bright. Overall I don’t think you need it but if you wear minimal make up it could be a nice piece for your collection, it comes with a lot of product.

This looks so good! And I bet it would last forever
Probably hahaha
Is this like a highlighter? I love this sparkle color!
You can use as an highlighter xx
The colors look amazing on you. I have oily skin and have strayed away from Mac products but wanted to give them a try again.
This is for the eyes so oily skin is not a problem ☺️
It looks fabulous, but that’s a bummer to hear about the packaging. I think most MAC products are designed poorly.
They used to have bad packaging, I think their design is quite improved but not for this one xx
I used to have this pigment in a mini. It’s a lovely shade, but I ended up decluttering it since I didn’t reach for it as much as I thought. I think it’s because it’s pigment; I prefer pressed pigments or shadows better.
I think if they had the pressed version it would be a best seller! I have to make an effort to reach it but I love it so it’s worth it to me xx
They should totally make a pressed version!
Pigments are the worst to work with! I made a mess with mine while trying to just get some on the brush ? it looks flawless on you though
Ahah some of them are worth the mess but not something I do regularly xx
Love it! It’s very subtle and looks amazing with the liner!
Totally xx
