In today’s New In Beauty we are going to chat about some new launches from Maybelline, Too Faced, Benefit, Marc Jacobs and Huda Beauty.
In case this is your first New In Beauty I’m going to explain what they are: when we don’t want to dedicate a full post to each of these products we thought we would combine them all in one.
NEITHER JULIA NOR I HAVE TESTED THIS PRODUCTS SO OUR OPINION ARE PURELY BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW FROM THE BRAND AND WHAT WE SEE ONLINE, OF COURSE WE MIGHT BE WRONG SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE TRIED ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENTS
All of these products are available now or will be soon.
It comes in two shades: Pink and Bronze (60$ each)
Mimi: I have one of these palettes from a previous launch and I love it, I know that 60$ are a lot but these palettes are A LOT of value for money. The pans are full size and a Benefit box blush is 30$. The packaging of these is much more convenient. I won’t get either of them because I have the majority of the shades in both of them but if you always wanted to try Benefit blushes these palettes are the way to go. The quality is definitely there.
Julia: Stunning, I love the first one because it has GALifornia in it, plus the Bronze one has that Hoola Caramel that is too dark and too orange for me. I think they are a good value for money but I’m not really a fan of face palettes.
Price: about 20$
Mimi: Now, I find kind of weird that Too Faced launches a liner inspired by their mascara a month after Benefit has done the same thing… It’s true that make up takes a long time to develop so whatever. The reason why I probably won’t get this because it’s a brush tip and I prefer a felt tip one.
Julia: It looks nice but I think it kind of reminds me of the Benefit one. I don’t use pens so it’s won’t work for me.
Mimi: Ok now, you know I’ve been using the Velvet Noir Mascara since December, I’m not one to buy expensive mascaras and that was a Christmas gift. I love it but I can’t justify the price. So I have the same thoughts for the primer. I’m sure it works amazingly but it’s way too expensive and I don’t even need it.
Julia: It’s too expensive so no.
It comes in eight shades: Interview (peachy nude), Joyride (dusty rose), Third Date (rosewood), Pay Day (rosy mauve), Graduation Day (vintage rose), Pool Party (berry), Ladies Night (burgundy), Masquerade (aubergine) (25$ each)
Mimi: These look so pretty I love the shade range and the packaging, I can’t wait to see them in stores.
Julia: I like the shades, but the packaging kind of reminds me of Essence I don’t know why, they are still pretty though.
It comes in 20 shades (about 12$)
Mimi: In theory, this sounds amazing but I’m not the biggest fan of full coverage, so I don’t know, I might check a few reviews first.
Julia: I don’t like that it has sunblock because first, they usually smell like sunscreen and second they usually make the formula thicker so I don’t think I’ll buy it.
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS COLLECTION? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO BUY? LEAVE US A COMMENT SO WE CAN START A CONVERSATION.
