Hi Darlings, today’s review is going to be of the Essence You Better Work Tinted Day Cream.
This tinted moisturizer is part of a new line from the brand that is supposed to be gym-proof and waterproof, I’ve also got the mascara that I’ve reviewed last week.
I normally wouldn’t use make up while working out but I thought since Summer is quickly approaching some of you might be interested in more long-lasting products, even if you don’t go to the gym it can be good to have something that is essentially sweat-proof and lightweight for the face.
You can get Essence from Ulta but this product is not out in the States yet, this site ships worldwide and it costs about 5$ and I have the shade Light.
It is a classic squeezy tube, you have all the details on the back.
The formula is almost completely sheer which means that it doesn’t really matter that it only comes in two shades, you won’t need to match precisely although I think there should be at least another darker shade.
It contains UVA/UVB protection, you should use a separate one anyway but if you are on a rush is a nice touch.
It has a matte finish and barely-there coverage since you are supposed to use it at the gym it’s ok for me.
This is the kind of product you use when you need something on a rush to perfect your complexion that won’t look like you are wearing make up.
The best way to apply it is by dabbing it on with your fingers.
This tinted cream lasts for 4 hours on me before I have to blot it again, it supposed to be waterproof but it’s not, it lasts all day if I keep blotting though.

To be honest, I’m actually very impressed with this product, I always go for a no-makeup makeup and I don’t mind that you can still see my skin underneath. Usually, I prefer a light perfecting base and a high coverage concealer on my blemishes. I like that it’s matte because most tinted moisturizers are not. In the hotter months, I don’t like to wear foundation so I know I’ll be wearing this a lot. The shade range sucks, I know, but you don’t need a precise match since it’s so sheer so unless you are very dark the two shades will work on a lot of people.
Don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any questions.
