Today’s review is going to be of the Becca Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder.
I recently run out of my Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder and I’m also doing an acne treatment which made my skin is a bit drier so I decided to try this Becca one that should be more hydrating.
I’ve heard a lot of things about it because the formula is quite unique, it seems wet which is so weird when you put it on but so fun too. If you are around a Sephora I suggest you to at least touch it.
You can get it from Sephora for 39$.
It comes in a cardboard box in the classic Becca colour.
The pot itself is quite small and it doesn’t contain a lot of product but it’s pretty, it feels quite fancy.
It contains 10g of product that compared with the Too Faced (35g for 32$) one or the Fenty one (28g for 32$) is definitely overpriced for me.
Inside it has a little lid that prevents the powder from coming out and getting dry, as the sticker suggests. The lid itself is really hard to open, I’m always afraid is going to fly from my hands when I open it.
The powder itself comes from this safety net which is very nice if you like to use a sponge to apply the powder.
The powder is very finely milled and soft, it has THE WEIRDEST wet texture. When you put it on with a brush it feels like you are using a brush that’s just being washed, it’s so weird.
It is also quite refreshing. It’s slightly tinted but it doesn’t change the colour of your foundation or your concealer.
I like to apply it with a wet sponge, I find that this way it meshes with my skin a lot better but with this powder that method doesn’t work, it makes it super clumpy so I use a fluffy brush.
This powder looks amazing on my skin, you can see in the picture how much my pores are minimized, my face looks and feels like very smooth especially from the distance.
It’s not too matt and it doesn’t enhance dryness or texture but keeps my makeup in place all day long.
Since I can’t use a sponge with it I don’t use it to bake my concealer but for the rest of the face works amazingly.
On me it lasts for 5 hours before I have to repowder which is not bad.
- Colour: 10/10

- Texture: 9/10
- Pigmentation: 9/10
- Packaging: 7/10
I really like this powder, it’s definitely overpriced, the packaging it’s hard to open and I don’t like that I can’t bake with it but it looks amazing on the skin, it works with my combination skin beautifully and it makes my make up last for a long time. The formula is also cool to use and it’s very refreshing.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
