Hi Darlings, in today’s post, Julia and I are going to share with you our thoughts about the NEW Anastasia Beverly Hills Foundation & Powder.
It’s safe to say that ABH is a bit late to the party with the powders and the foundation with this launch being their first one in this category.
Well, technically they also have a stick one. Anyway, they are finally coming out and I can’t wait to tell you more about them.
It will launch on the 8/4 for ABH.com or from the 8/15 on other sites and in stores.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Foundation & Powder: PRODUCTS

Luminous Liquid Foundation (38$ for 30 ml / 1 Oz)
This foundation comes in 50 shades and it’s

Setting Powder (36$ for 25g)
This powder is supposed to be smooth, controls oil but doesn’t dry under eyes and comes in five shades:
- Translucent (colorless)
- Vanilla (ivory)
- Banana (pale yellow)
- Deep Peach (warm peach)
- Golden Orange (golden tan)

Mimi: Of course I appreciate the shade range but I have no idea why this foundation really doesn’t appeal to me. I might be the only one but I really don’t feel excited about this launch.
Maybe it’s the wrong time of the year, but in Rome, it’s over 30°C (about 90°F) and the idea of using foundation sounds awful.
The powders might be something I’m more interested in, maybe they are a bit too pricey but you get 25g of it so it shouldn’t be too bad.
Julia: I really like this foundation, I love the packaging! I think the shade range looks awesome but we’ll see if it’s actually great. Side note, these swatches make me hungry, they look like chocolate.

Right now, I use Urban Decay foundation, and while I used to love it, lately I am finding it doesn’t seem to stay on all day. I am in the market to try something new, so this may be the next thing I try. I would be in the ‘light’ category for liquid foundations and I love that there are so many different color options. I feel like the powders make my already dry skin look flaky, especially in the winter months.
You have to try the becca refreshing powder, it’s amazing for dry skin ?
I find this mildly intriguing, but tbh I just don’t use traditional foundation much these days at all. I’m sure it will sell well for them – people always seem to go gaga over foundation launches.

I did wear some just recently when I was going into the city and knew I was going to have a longer day than normal. And honestly I just didn’t like the way it was sitting on my skin! I’m so used to tinted moisturizers and lighter coverage bases that I hate the feeling of something thicker now. (Although I am eyeing that new Fenty hydrating foundation ??).
Kind of intrigued by that one too. I’ve honestly been super obsessed with the Bali Body BB cream ever since I got it.
If you can wear lighter coverage bases, I really do think they are the way to go when it comes to everyday makeup use. You put less on, so you lose less makeup throughout the day. And less caking!
I was actually looking on your stories today and the colorful look, you showed so many products but the result on your face was so natural! I literally thought: how the hell does she make look this many products so natural?!? (But I was sneaking my phone during my shift at work so I couldn’t comment there hahah)
Ha! I used a crap ton of products on the eyes, but only like three on my face (tinted moisturizer, a little concealer and a dash of bronzer). I will sometimes use a lot of products but apply them really sheered out so they look like nothing. That’s probably a bit weird but I just do it without thinking about it!

I’m on the lookout for a new foundation. I usually like a matte type finish. Would this be a good solution?
It will probably be too dewy according to the name ut you can always get a sample at sephora and test it first 😉
I love that they have so many different shades. For some reason, I can never find the right one to go with my skin, but one of these might work!
