Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatches of the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in the shades Babe Alert and Stepping Out.
I recently got a lip kit (limited edition) with six shades which are all part of the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick permanent range but they are smaller and the packaging has the cute flowery cap.
I’ve heard a lot of people rave about these liquid lipsticks so I was super excited to test them out myself. Today we start with the two nudes of the kit, which are both best sellers: Babe Alert and Stepping Out.
You can get the full size from Sephora for 24$
- Babe Alert is a nude rose.
- Stepping Out is a deep nude.
The (original not mine because, as I said, mine is limited edition) packaging is a square tube. Very chic.
It doesn’t really have a scent or a specific taste.
FORMULA & APPLICATION
It has a teardrop applicator with a hole in the middle that I really like because it’s super easy to use, it doesn’t pick up too much product and it’s very precise.
The formula is highly pigmented, it’s creamy but matt. It is a bit on the thicker side which I don’t love. It’s not sticky and but a bit drying on me.
Once it dries it becomes slightly darker than what it appears in the packaging.
It goes on super smooth and it meshes with the lips becoming one with them.
On me, it lasts about 3-4 hours before it starts to rub off on the centre of my lips and gets too uncomfortable.

GRADE: B –
These liquid lipsticks are nice, I like these two shades and the formula is highly pigmented and smooth but they are a bit too thick and dry for my tastes. The lasting power could be better. Overall, I like them but I have ones I like better.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
