Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Smashbox Studio Skin Full Coverage 24 Hours Foundation.
I knew before even trying it that I’d hate this because I hate full coverage foundations, but I thought I could show you something different that you might not expect from me and since there are so many people that love heavy coverage I hope it will help them.
So the review is positive because it’s a good product but I really don’t like it on me because I don’t like full coverage products.
It comes in 40 shades, I have the 2.15 which is for Light skin tone with cool undertone (I’m not super cool but I feel like all the shades tend to be quite warm). You can get it from Sephora for 36$
PACKAGING
The bottle is made of plastic and it is a squeeze tub. I like it, it’s definitely travel-friendly and clumsy proof.

FORMULA & COVERAGE
The formula is thick and not runny, it’s definitely full coverage.
It is super matt and a bit drying. It tends to dry quite quickly so I suggest you to blend it quickly. As they say on the box a little GOES A LONG WAY, you barely need any product at all.
My favourite way to apply it it’s with a damp sponge, I find that it makes the foundation mesh with the skin a lot better.

EFFECT
This foundation looks so BAD on me: it grabs to dry patches, it shows so much of my texture but it glides nicely on my pores. I really don’t think it works for my skin type.
In my opinion, is very heavy and I’d never wear it, but if you like full coverage products this is more on the lightweight side.
LASTING POWER
This foundation lasts for 8 hours without getting shiny.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 10/10
- Longevity: 7/10
- Application: 5/10
- Effect: 5/10
- Texture: 7/10
- Packaging: 8/10
GRADE: B+
(but for me is C)
I knew I wasn’t going to like this foundation because I don’t like full coverage stuff. I like the packaging and the colour but it grabs to my dry patches and it shows texture. It just doesn’t work for me. In my opinion, is very heavy and I’d never wear it, but if you like full coverage products this is more on the lightweight side. If you are looking for a long lasting product this might be a good option for you.

I am not really a big fan of full coverage product as well, i feel that it’s too heavy for me. I always like light coverage products
I have plenty of recommendations for that x
Thanks for the honest review. I really don’t like full coverage foundation. You end up looking cakey in the end.
Agree x
I’ve used this product myself actually, and really liked the coverage that it gave me! I have pretty pale skin (typically hard to match), and found that it matched smoothly.
Foundation preferences are so personal, I’m glad you like it though xx
so sorry to hear it grabbed on dry patches. It’s the worse x

So bad I know x
I also am not a fan of full coverage foundation. I feel like it makes peoples skin look caked on and so fake. Thanks for the honest review though.
Agree I much prefer when real skin shows through x
Yea I’ll steer clear of this one! Don’t like full coverage either!
Ahhaha run ??♀️??♀️??♀️
wow the coverage is amazing!! i have to see if they have this at my local sephora the next time that im there.
I’m glad you like it x
I am a light coverage kind of girl as well. I think heavy coverage clog pores and skin breaks out more.
That’s not necessarily true but I think it makes pores more visible ?
I thought everything looks perfect on your skin because it looks flawless
Thank you x
Thanks for your honest review! I’m not a big fan of full coverage either, also because I struggle to find a tint that matches my skin tone! Though it sounds like this one has so many different shades!
A lot of shades but it’s so heavy ahah
