Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Essence Hey Cheeks Palette.
This palette looked promising to me because I usually love essence face products so I was pretty positive I’d like it.
And of course, getting everything you need for your base in a palette this compact is a nice bonus.
You can get it here for about 8$
The packaging is very simple, it honestly reminds me of more pricey palettes. The closure is magnetic. You get five powders in the palette: three blushes, two bronzers and one highlighter.
You also get a mirror, which is very tiny and pretty useless.
The shades don’t have names but on the back of the palette, you can read some info about it.
PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
The formula is quite soft and smooth especially when you swatch it, it has a very intense pigmentation which I don’t love on face products cause is trickier to handle.
The last shade is too dark for me too use as a highlighter and too shimmery to use as a bronzer. I like the others and there is a nice variation between each shade.
You just have to be careful and not put on too much.
In my opinion, the pans are very small and they are hard to use with a brush without picking the shades on the sides of the one you want.
I have to squeeze my brush to use it, which is one of the things I don’t like about this palette.
On me, it lasts around 8 hours before starting to fade.
- Colour: 8/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 6/10
- Texture: 8/10
- Pigmentation: 8/10
- Packaging: 7/10
This palette is very nice, I personally think is tricky to use because of the intense pigmentation and the pan size but other than that I quite like it. The colours are nice and they don’t look patchy. They also last for a long time before starting to fade. For that price, I’d recommend it.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
