L’Oreal X Karl Lagerfeld Eyeshadow Palette | Review

Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the L’Oreal X Karl Lagerfeld Eyeshadow Palette.

This is a collection that L’Oreal created to celebrate the artistry of Karl Lagerfeld since he passed away this past February.

You know I’m the biggest eyeshadow snob and I never like affordable ones but this looked promising and I’ve had enjoyed L’Oreal’s in the past.

I read on Instagram that this collection is coming in the US very soon so, if you haven’t seen it yet, you should be able to find it soon.

It’s going to be available in all the major retailers and it should be around 15$

PACKAGING

The packaging is a classic and it’s so PRETTY! It’s so chic and luxurious it feels high end. I love the attention to details.

The colour selection isn’t the greatest because the shades don’t work perfectly together. It’s not awful but I have to pair it with other palettes because I can’t create many looks with it.

PIGMENTATION & FORMULA

I find the mattes are a really good base for any look. They are incredibly buttery and they blend so nicely.

The shimmers are stunning too, and all the shades are richly pigmented and super buttery.

I like that you get a medium brown, a shimmery ivory and a black because those are essentials for me for any kind of look.

APPLICATION

I think the shimmers work best when they are damp or applied with the fingers but that’s usually the case with shimmer shadows.

LASTING POWER

With a primer, these eyeshadows last about 8 hours before fading, but I don’t tend to wear make up for longer than that anyway.

GRADE: A–

This palette is so nice! I can’t believe how affordable it is. I love the packaging and the formula is awesome. I’m not too keen on the colour selection and I have to pair it with other palettes, which doesn’t make it perfect to me. I think is a nice collector piece you will actually use because it works just fine.
