Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the Fenty Beauty Pro Filtr Hydrating Longwear Foundation.
I got this foundation for my mom for Christmas but I decided to try to see if I could like it or not. Honestly, I leaned more towards the no because I normally don’t like full coverage products.
My mom does so you can see it’s totally personal preference. My last experiment with Fenty foundations was a bit of a disaster, here you can see why, this one is not as bad but I don’t like it either.
It comes in 50 shades, I have the number 170, you can get it at Sephora for 35$
PACKAGING
The packaging is pretty, I like the squeezy tube and I appreciate the pump as it disperses the right amount of product and it’s super hygienic.
It looks really chic but that pump is quite messy and will get dirty.
FORMULA & COVERAGE
The formula is quite runny, it’s definitely full coverage.
I used one pump to cover my entire face. The foundation is quite hard to blend because it’s almost sticky and you can’t move it or it will get really blotchy.

EFFECT
I really dislike the effect of this foundation on me, first, I don’t like that is so full coverage, but again, I normally don’t like full coverage products so that’s on me.
The other thing I don’t like is that it’s too hydrating and it makes my skin look shiny very quickly. I had to powder a lot throughout the day.
I wouldn’t mind a bit of shine but this looks like I put too much cream on and it’s not a good look on me.
APPLICATION
My favourite way to apply it it’s with a damp sponge, I find that it makes it mesh with the skin a lot better.
LASTING POWER
After about an hour it gets really shiny and it starts to break on my oily areas.
On my mum, it lasts all day though and it doesn’t transfer so if you have more normal to dry skin I think you’ll like it.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 6/10
- Longevity: 5/10
- Application: 6/10
- Texture: 5/10
- Pigmentation: 9/10
- Packaging: 8/10
GRADE: C
I wanted to like this foundation way more than I do but it doesn’t work for my skin type. I like the packaging but it’s too full coverage for me plus it gets oily super quickly. The colour selection is awesome though. My mum really likes it so if you have more normal to dry skin and you are looking for a full coverage product, I think you might like it.

Thanks for sharing! I haven’t tried much from Fenty, but I do like their lip glosses. I like a more natural finish, so I don’t think this would be for me.
I love their glosses
That’s a shame this didn’t work out but I’m not much of a full coverage gal either, so I probably wouldn’t like it either!
I was super bummed, I thought it was going to be lighter…
I’m kinda not surprised. I think everything with Fenty is really full-on.
Not necessarily but I don’t particularly love any of their base products. I love their highlighters and the glosses though
I’ve been wanting to try this foundation out! Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts on the product. I do enjoy full coverage time to time so I might have to pick it up and see if it works on my skin.
Let me know how you like it!
I love to try this as I think long wear foundation saves me money as I don’t want to apply every now and then.
That makes sense!
I haven’t tried this one, but you are right. Make-up is personal, what works for one, may not for the other.
Especially for foundations and mascaras
Thanks for the honest interview, I really hate messy pumps when it comes to everything, especially on makeup, so that’s already a no for me.
Thank you for reading! X
Great review! I think it looks really good on the picture but I guess the feeling on the skin is so subjective!
Foundation and mascara are so personal
