Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow Color Awakening Universal Blush in the shade 001 Pink.
This blush has been around for years, it has the same concept as the Lip Glow Lip Balm meaning that it changes colour and adapts to skin colour.
They have recently updated the packaging, removing the brush and the mirror and making it more compact. The shade changed slightly too.
Being a big fan of the Lip Glow, I wanted to try this for a while.
You can get it from Sephora for 37$
Old packaging / New packaging
COLOUR
In the pan, it looks like a really pale, really cool toned pink. When you put it on it makes you look naturally flushed and has the most natural effect.
PACKAGING
The packaging is more minimal like the Backstage line is, I love it. It’s sturdy and compact which makes it easier to carry around.
As you can see the packaging changed quite a bit and I personally prefer the new one since it’s a bit more professional and the price is lower.
The new one doesn’t have a mirror though, just a slightly blurry reflective surface.

PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
The formula is quite soft and smooth especially when you swatch it, it has a medium pigmentation. You definitely have to build up the colour which as I said in the past is my personal preference with face products.
It doesn’t have any fallout and it’s not too chalky. It doesn’t enhance pores or texture.
APPLICATION
It is not super pigmented but you can layer it.
SWATCH

LASTING POWER
On me, it lasts around 8 hours before starting to fade which is awesome and definitely true to name.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 10/10
- Longevity: 9/10
- Application: 9/10
- Texture: 9/10
- Pigmentation: 9/10
- Packaging: 10/10
GRADE: A+
This blush is stunning, it looks like you are naturally flushed, I prefer when blushes are less pigmented because it helps to avoid the clown effect. The lasting power is amazing. The colour is perfect for every day and it will look good with any kind of look. If you don’t mind to splurge on these kinds of products I highly recommend it.

Ooo nice! I admit, I’ve never tried Dior products before, but after reading this, I think I might pick some up.
This blush is great!
Do they have shades for women of color? That pink is beautiful on you, but on my brown skin I think it wouldn’t look as good.
You can try, it’s the kind of colour that looks good on everyone but they have a peachier one too
That looks like a fun and vibrant pink shade! Perfect for the spring!
Totally x
Oh that color looks so gorgeous on you… makes me want to try it now too!
Thank you ?
It might be a bit too pink for me but looks great on you!
It’s not too pink once it’s on!
I really live Dior products so I will definitely give this a try. Their mascara is amazing if you haven’t tried it.
Which one do you like?
