Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the YSL Rouge Volupte Rock’n Shine in the shade Nude Solo and the swatches of the other shades.
The formula of the YSL Volupte Shine lipsticks is one of my all-time favourites, but these are a bit different.
As you can see they have a glittery silvery star in the middle that looks quite stunning and leaves a glittery effect on the lips.
It comes in seven shades (+ 3 limited edition) and you can get it at Sephora for 38$.
COLOUR
This shade is a nude taupe. It looks lighter on than in the bullet.
PACKAGING
The packaging is absolutely GORGEOUS, the glittery top is so beautiful
You can find name of the shade is on the bottom but you can see the colour of it on the side.
Like any other YSL lipstick, it has the classic Mango scent, which I absolutely love.
FORMULA & APPLICATION
The formula is very creamy and it glides on really easily, it’s almost too creamy that it can melt if you are not careful, the finish is quite glossy and shiny.
The glitter is noticeable when it catches the light but, since the lipstick is already shiny, is nothing too exaggerated. Basically, the only thing is it feels a bit gritty on. I don’t mind it but it might be a turn off for some people.
It feels quite hydrating and it’s quite easy to apply, even without a mirror.

LASTING POWER
This lipstick lasts for 2 hours on me (without eating), since it’s so shiny I wasn’t expecting an incredible lasting time, but you can reapply it really easily.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this lipstick. The shade is the perfect nude for me. I like the formula since is so creamy and shiny, I adore the packaging, it’s comfortable and balmy, perfect for everyday wear. The lasting power is great for a sheer lipstick and overall I’m very happy with it. The formula is a bit too creamy to work well for the darker shades but for this colour is perfect.

Love the shade! It’s so pretty and not too bold which I love! I do think it would be to light for tan/olive skin but it’s probably great for layering over a darker lip!
There are a lot of shades in the line that will work on dark skin too
