Hi Darlings, since we are stuck at home I thought it could be fun to do a chatty post about Spring Beauty Trends for 2020.
I did this kind of post over the Fall and it was a success so I thought I could do it again. These past few weeks I’ve been attracted to some looks, products and colours and I’ve realised that everywhere I looked there was something similar.
That allowed me to narrow down six (really four with some of them combined) trends in products and looks that are everywhere this Spring.
Some of them are not the most groundbreaking * insert gif of Miranda Prestley * for the season but they are evergreen and honestly, they attract me more than they normally would.

Cream Products
Whether we are talking about blush, bronzer, highlighter or foundation, creams products are everywhere. Both in stick form or in actual pans.
I have to say, I’ve never been a fan of them, I think I own one cream blush (that is probably expired) and one highlighter, so this year I’m planning to add more of them to my collection.
Whereas stick foundations don’t do much for me since I like a lighter finish.
I’m definitely attracted by both the Fenty Cream Blushes and the Match Stix but the MAC ones look amazing too.
Lip Gloss
Lip gloss is not exactly groundbreaking for Spring but I definitely feel like it’s getting a lot more love lately. I’ve always been a lip gloss fan and I’m happy that I finally fit the trend.
Plumping and hydrating, this new generation of glosses will fit a lot of people tastes. The new Dior Addict Stellar Lip Glosses look amazing, and I’m definitely planning on getting some shades.
The review of the MAC Plumping Lip Glosses is coming tomorrow (here) but spoiler alert, I adore them.
Graphic, Pastel, Blue Makeup
Graphic
Pastel
Blue
Look wise Graphic, Pastel, Blue makeup or simply a combo of the three are in full force. That’s why I decided to put these together.
They are a trend singularly but you also can see the three of them combined in one look. If you have taken a look at my recent #MakeupMondays you’d know that I definitely had a moment with each of these looks.
Here you can check my Pastel, Graphic and Blue (actually is a Graphic Blue) looks.
Matchy Rose Looks
The last trend and possibly my favourite is Matchy Rose Looks, so cheeks, eyes and lips using the same tone.
Again, if we take a look at the new collections that dropped recently you’ll see this theme all over them. Here you can see the Dior, Chanel and MAC ones.
The matchy look is incredibly flattering but it’s even better in this rose tone because it’s the kind of colour that looks good on everyone. Here are the looks I created with this tone Spring Rose Look and the Desert Rose Look.
And that’s it for the trends, what do you think? What’s your favourite out of them?

Love this post and I’m definitely a big lover of cream products over powder at the moment! x
I definitely want to work on that
Love learning about new makeup trends! Super excited for the lip gloss trend to come back
I seriously love them
I’m LOVING that blue and gold eye shadow look! I need to do that- too bad I have no where to go with it on! LOL!
Ahahahah same, I’m in full on makeup with nowhere to go but it’s fun to experiment.
I really like pastel colors because they look light. But all colors look really lovely.
Agree!
I love all of the colors! Makes me want to go a little daring with my makeup for the spring.
You totally should!
I love the matchy rose looks! I want to get some of those collections. I love the Desert Rose look most I think.
So pretty!
I’m loving all these trends, but I’ve been loving the cream trend the most. As someone with oily skin I used to think that I couldn’t wear makeup like this but I’ve learned how to make cream formulas work for my skin type! Those Fenty blushes/bronzers are on my list!!
Omg same! I grew up with oily acne prone skin and creams were a no no. Now I’m excited to give them a go but I want to see them in store first that’s why I haven’t bought them yet
So fun and colorful. Love these trends. Personally, I’m a huge lip gloss fun and great to get some new ideas. Thanks for the tips.
Love lip glosses so much
I’m someone who follows fashion trends, but funny how I never look into makeup trends at all. I’m always doing my own thing with makeup. Personally, I’m not into cream products, lip gloss, or blue makeup. I guess these trends were not made for me! I like to match my makeup to my outfit more than anything. But, nice to see these kinds of posts. I don’t think there is enough info on makeup trends floating around.

I don’t normally follow trends either but I find myself gravitating towards them unconsciously. Like for example I’ve been doing a lot of graphic looks or using blue a lot. ?
