Ciao Darlings, il post di oggi sarà la recensione e gli swatch della Huda Beauty Ruby Obsessions Palette.
L’altro giorno, quando stavo creando lo Spring Rose Look #MakeupMonday ho realizzato che non ho nessun ombretto rosso, cosa che mi ha davvero infastidito perchè amo il rosso, mi piace come sta con i miei occhi verdi.
Facendo le mie ricerche ho notato che non ci sono molte palette di soli rossi, questa è l’unica di cui mi piacesse la selezione di colori, perciò nonostante io non sia una grande fan degli ombretti di Huda ho deciso di provarla.
Non avevo grandi aspettative ma la mia amica LP o The Newbury Girl (che adoro) mi ha recentemente detto che la formula delle palette grandi è diversa da queste piccole.

PACKAGING
Questa palette non ha una scatola ma una copertina di plastica, non è esattamente economica perciò è un po’ una delusione.
A parte questo però, adoro il packaging in se, mi piace che ci sia la gemma sopra invece degli occhi di Huda.
Contiene 4 shimmer, 4 opachi e un satinato ma i colori individuali non hanno un nome.
PIGMENTAZIONE & FORMULA
Tutti i colori hanno una pigmentazione da media ad alta, sono tutti cremosi e facili da sfumare a parte il penultimo colore che crea un po’ di macchie. Cadono un po’ sulle guance perciò vi consiglio di truccare prima gli occhi e poi il viso.
I Matte sono incredibilmente burrosi e facili da sfumare, cosa che è abbastanza rara con i rossi.
Gli Shimmer sono belli e pigmentati, non me lo aspettavo vista la delusione della Mercury.
APPLICAZIONE
Tutti i colori si sfumano facilmente con un pennello ma quelli perlati funzionano meglio se usate le dita e li applicate pressandoli.
La cosa non è un problema per me ma so che alcune persone non amano usare le dita e questa cosa è un po’ un limite.
SWATCH
LOOK
Ho usato il colore #9 e #4 nella piega, il numero #6 all’angolo esterno, il #2 all’angolo interno e il #5 al centro. Infine il colore #1 sull’arcata sopraccigliare.
Ho usato il colore #8 nella piega, il #7 all’angolo esterno e il #3 sulla palpebra.
DURATA
Con un primer sotto dura circa 8 ore su di me prima di iniziare ad andare nelle pieghette.

Questa palette è bellissima. Adoro la selezione di colori e mi ispira davvero molto. La formula degli opachi è incredibile gli shimmer hanno bisogno di un po’ di stratificazione ma sono belli. Tutto sommato sono impressionata, non avevo aspettative alte, ma questa palette è davvero buona e mi mancava un prodotto simile nella mia collezione.

I totally agree with you about the way the matte and shimmer shadows perform and that fingers are the best way to apply these shimmers.
I don’t mind the packaging of these palettes; but her newer obsessions palettes come in more elaborate and sturdy packaging.
Huda is currently having a sale right now ?? …. so you can guess how that went for me lol. ?

Wow, what amazing color! The Obsessions Palettes are bomb, bomb, bomb! I have a few color stories and all of them are just amazing quality and pigmentation.
I like the green one too but I literally never use green so I’ll skip it XD
I don’t have the Ruby one, but I have the Smokey and the Warm Brown ones. My mom has like 4 more! She loves them.

this is a pretty palette! i’m honestly appalled at how there are practically no red palettes LOL I do own blood sugar but I do wish there were more because I’ve always loved red shades as well. they’re just so hard to find. anyway, this palette is gorgeous and I love all the shades. I’m not a fan of hers or the brand in general I guess, but this may* be one of those palettes that I would give a try.
Actually the day I bough this I was comparing it to Blood Sugar I stared at their photos so long but then I realised that I wanted actual reds not another neutral palette with pink and reds. I don’t particularly like her and I’ll definitely buy less from her unless is a product like this palette.
that’s true, this does seem more neutral and these reds are not true* reds.
I would love to get Blood Sugar though, the shades look amazing and I know I’d use it a lot but I also am not the biggest fan of the packaging. So I’m happy with this one for now 😉
