Eyeliner and Eye Pencils: Save or Splurge? Why?
Mimi: Double answer this time, for eyeliners, splurge, I always use pen liners and the more affordable ones tend to dry more quickly so you end up buying them more frequently which makes them a waste. My all-time favourite is the Benefit Roller Liner but I also love the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner and the KVD Vegan Beauty Tattoo Liner.
But if we talk about pencil, save, always. Essence, Maybelline, L’Oreal all have amazing liners, both black and coloured.
Julia: Save on both. Essence has some amazing ones.

I usually just stick with the pencil eye liners. I’m scared of the gel or liquid ones. I stick with a Rimmel brand that’s under $10 and it works well.
They have amazing liners ?
I agree that pricier eyeliners are better (at least the ones I’ve tried). They last longer and they go on smoother.

I agree with you – the KvD Trooper liner is my holy grail, BUT the Fenty Flyliner is a close second (which makes sense since Kendo owns / makes both). Maybelline, Milani, and LA Girl have some really amazing pencil liners!
I like the Fenty Flyliner but it’s too shiny for my tastes! I love Maybelline pencils, especially lip liners
Also forgot to mention the L’Oréal Lacquer Gel Liner. OG for a reason ?

I love the Stila line of cosmetics and the black all-day eyeliner is a great value for around $20.

I don’t do liquid liners so I can’t answer that one, but for pencil liners I’d say save. Even though I love the Urban Decay ones, L’Oreal do ones just as good in my opinion!
Urban Decay’s are sooo good!
They were the first eyeliners I really fell for, so I’ll always love them!
I remember I got a kit with three minis and I’ve legit used it all high school!
I don’t have as many as I used to these days, but they’re the OG for sure!

i’ve tried some high end eyeliner pens and they suck? LOL at least on me, they skip so much i can never get a straight thin line. so for me, it’s a save. the nyx matte liquid liner is amazing and a staple of mine 🙂
i would normally say save for eye pencils, but i haven’t had much luck with drugstore ones, UD and Marc Jacobs have amazing ones, the gel liner was a good one too
I love both MJ and UD I love them both. MJ has the best red one ? I’ll have to try the NYX one then when I run out of the benefit one
