Ciao Darlings, il post di oggi sarà la recensione e gli swatch della Essence The Rose Edition Eyeshadow Palette.
Ok sapete cosa penso degli ombretti economici, ma questa palette sembrava promettente, come una versione economica della Naked 3, perciò ho pensato perchè no?
Avevano anche una versione un po’ più neutra, più simile alla Naked originale ma era sold out quando ho preso questa.

PACKAGING
Il packaging è semplice e non molto lussuoso, ovviamente è una palette economica ma sembra resistente.
I colori non hanno un nome ma sul retro della palette potete leggere un po’ di info su essa.
PIGMENTAZIONE & FORMULA
La formula è abbastanza morbida e liscia nella confezione, specialmente se prelevata con il dito, ha una media pigmentazione. Non ha molto fallout cosa che mi ha particolarmente sorpresa.
Il problema pricincipale che me la fa bocciare è che una volta applicata i colori si fondono insieme sembrano un colore unico.
L’ultimo colore crea un po’ di macchie quando viene applicato e il terzultimo è praticamente invisibile una volta applicato.
APPLICAZIONE
Potete applicarli con il dito per rendere la pigmentazione più intensa ma una volta che li sfumate li perdete comunque.
SWATCH
Ho usato il colore numer 3 nella piega, il 6 e il 7 all’angolo esterno, il 4 sulla palpebra mobile e l’1 all’angolo interno.
Ho usato il colore numero 6 nella piega che ho poi intensificato con il 9, all’angolo interno ed esterno ho usato il 5. Sulla rima inferiore ho usato il 7 e il 9. Sotto alle sopracciglia ho usato il 2 e all’angolo interno ho applicato l’1.
DURATA
Su di me dura circa 5 ore prima di iniziare ad andare nelle pieghe.

Mi piace la selezione di colori e la formula non è terribile ma non riesco ad usare questa palette per creare dei look perchè i colori si mescolano tra di loro. Anche se è economica io non ve la consiglio. Rimango coerente con quello che ho sempre detto, gli ombretti sono una di quelle cose su cui si deve investire.

I love these colors. It’s a shame they don’t hold up well through. My daughter would probably still want it. These are her kind of colors.

I see what you mean when you say even if it’s inexpensive, it doesn’t mean it’s worth even that. I’ll take your advice and avoid this palette.

The swatches look lovely, but we know that only tells half the story! It’s all about how they perform on the eyes, and some drugstore shadows just don’t have it. I’ve never tried any shadows from Essence before. We don’t have the biggest selection of their products here in the States but I’d likely stay away.
The single super glittery ones are usually very nice but the palettes are a pass for me
It’s true that it looks hard to create a specific look with this palette, but I do love the colours a lot! Since I mostly use only one shade when I put eye-shadow on, I think I would really like this palette!
It would be great for that I guess but for more complicated looks I’d pass
I like that Essence is an affordable brand b/c even if the makeup is somewhat of a flop, you didn’t spend that much on it. The shades do look pretty, but it is a shame about the formula.
