Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Essence My Skin Perfector Loose Fixing Powder in the shade 20 Nude.
I’m almost out of my Fenty Powder and I’m looking for a new one, I got this one online and it’s a bit too dark for me. (I’ve never thought I’d say that about a Essence product).
Actually, it’s fine if I use it all over my face but to bake my concealer is too dark. There is another shade and a translucent version available but they were both sold out when I got this one.
You can get it here here for 5,44$
PACKAGING
The pot itself is not too big but it contains A LOT of product and it’s again, so pretty, it feels quite fancy.
Inside it has a sticker that prevents the powder from coming out and go everywhere.

FORMULA & EFFECT
Despite being too dark this powder is actually amazing.
The powder is very finely milled and soft, it’s tinted but it’s so light that if you use a brush you are fine. To bake is too dark for me but I’ve tried and it does a good job.
This powder looks amazing on my skin, you can see in the picture how much my pores are minimized, my face looks and feels like a rose petal especially from the distance.
It’s quite matt but doesn’t make me feel dry, it doesn’t look cakey or powdery.
APPLICATION
I like to apply it with a brush and it sets the makeup beautifully.
It’s quite easy to apply the holes disperse the perfect amount of product and it’s not too fine to fly everywhere.
LASTING POWER
All over my face, it lasts 4 hours before I have to blot which is not the best I have tried but it’s not bad.

GRADE: A-
I really like this powder, despite being too dark for me. I love the formula, it’s thin and not cakey. The finish on the skin is beautiful and it’s very easy to apply. It makes the skin look flawless. I can’t wait to get the lighter colour.

Ohh I’ll have to try this makeup out! It looks amazing!
Thank you, I hope you will!
I always have a challenge finding loose powder that looks natural on my skin. I haven’t tried this one yet!
I bet you’ll love it!
So the only reason you gave it a 7 is because it was too dark? I’m thinking it may be perfect for me, but wanted to make sure you’d still get it if it were the right color.
100% I’m actually looking for the right colour but it’s sold out everywhere! I probably won’t use it under my eyes anyway because I like something REALLY light there but for the face it would be perfect!
I’m always on the quest for the perfect powder! I’ve never tried this one…
It’s awesome!
This looks so beautiful even though the shade is too deep! Def provides a lovely blurring effect – I think I’d need something that lasts longer on my oily skin though!
Yeah it doesn’t last long but I’m ok with that x
This sounds like a great powder! I’ve been using the same brand for years but am always interested in seeing the reviews of other brands.
This is so nice! I bet you’ll love it x
Never tried a loose setting powder before, but I imagine that if I would I’d definitely go for something super affordable like this!
I best you’ll love it!
Essence has so many hidden gems – I love their mascara! This powder looks so good on you!

Agree! I love it
Wow this sounds amazing! Probably way too dark for me too, though!
I need to get the lighter shade
I have to be honest, I’m normally not really into Essence but this powder actually sounds amazing!
I actually agree, it was a surprise how much i liked it
sounds great and i was about to say i really want to try it as well but i noticed it says “matte” so no good for me. matte products make my skin look much more dry and really powdery.
Yeah it might be too much if you are dry
