Hi Darlings, in today’s post we are going to talk about the Black-Owned Beauty Brands Available in Europe.
I don’t know what to write because I’m afraid to say the wrong thing, just know that if I make some mistakes they come from a place of ignorance and not from hate. Please take the time to correct me because I’m really trying to learn.
Ever since I was very young I’ve always stood for equality so I’ve always tried to do my best to show my support by going to demonstrations and having discussion with people around me.
I’ve seen these kinds of posts floating around a lot but most of the brands are based in the US so even if I wanted to support them I couldn’t because shipping and possible customs fees would make it very expensive.
So I looked for brands that are available on Europe based websites, I’ve found 9 but if you know more please let me know.
**All the photos are from the brands Instagrams.
Beauty Bakery

- Available: Cult Beauty
- Founder: Cashmere Nicole
- Follow: Instagram
On their website they say:
“Our mission is to be sweet and sweeten the lives of others. We are committed to encouraging men and women to feel both empowered and beautiful. Beauty Bakerie is a direct reflection of my perseverance and passion for great quality products that enhance the beauty in everyone, every day.”
This is one of the brands I really want to try, I’ve heard amazing things about the powder and the packaging is to die for. The prices are mid-range.
Briogeo

- Available: Cult Beauty or Sephora
- Founder: Nancy Twine
- Follow: Instagram
On their website they say:
“Our texture-specific products offer something for everyone – from repair, to volume, to curl care. We’ll never give you anything you don’t need. Briogeo’s simplified two, three or four step regimens take the guesswork out of mixing and matching products to find a custom routine to volumize, repair, defrizz or nurture. Briogeo is 6-free hair care; meaning our formulas are free of harsh sulfates (SLS/SLES), silicones, parabens, phthalates, DEA (diethanolamine) and synthetic color. All products are 90 to 100 percent naturally derived. Briogeo formulas are cruelty-free, gluten free and mostly vegan.”
They really sound amazing and I’d love to give the brand a go, the prices are mid-range and since I don’t have particular hair problems I never spend that much for hair products.
Coloured Raine

- Available: Beauty Bay
- Founder: Loraine R. Dowdy
- Follow: Instagram
On their website they say:
“The mission behind the brand has always been to spread awareness of diversity through beauty and to embrace all aspects of color through unity. Loraine has always had a deep and intense love for color, and strongly believes that makeup is a toy for everyone to enjoy – which can be used to express oneself. A belief in all things beauty, with no stipulations on color, age, and gender is what sets Coloured Raine apart. The brand employs 100 Black People: 75% Women and 25% Men: so when you shop with us, you’re investing in the minority community!”
Sadly on Beauty Bay they only have their single eyeshadows and a palette, hopefully, they will carry more soon because they look amazing! The eyeshadows are very affordable and the colours are STUNNING, I will definitely get some.
Fenty Beauty

On their website they say:
“Rihanna was inspired to create Fenty Beauty after years of experimenting with the best-of-the-best in beauty—and still seeing a void in the industry for products that performed across all skin types and tones. She launched a makeup line “so that people everywhere would be included,” focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, creating formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades.”
I mean, you guys know I absolutely love the brand, I’ve tried a lot of products and I’m happy to support a line that makes a lot of people feel included. Some of my must haves are: Gloss Bomb, the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo and the new Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer. Here you can see all the reviews I’ve done on them (which are A LOT). The prices are mid-range.
JUVIA’S PLACE

- Available: Beauty Bay
- Founder: Chichi Eburu
- Follow: Instagram
On their website they say:
“Juvia’s Place was created to celebrate the rebels, rulers and queens of the African kingdoms of long ago, who emulated and honored beauty through their soulful and innovative techniques that the top beauty gurus still use today. Inspired by the queens before us, Juvia’s Place offers the richest, most vibrantly-pigmented essentials for the eyes, face and lips to take you from the office, to the Caribbean islands, and everywhere inbetween!”
I’ve heard Nikkie Tutorials talking about this brand for years, I’ve always loved the look of their palettes and since lately I’m using more colours I’d love to give them a go. The prices are mid-range leaning on the more affordable side.
KNC Beauty

- Available: Cult Beauty
- Founder: Kristen Noel Crawley
- Follow: Instagram
On their website they say:
“Kristen Noel Crawley was strolling through Don Quijote in Tokyo, when….BAM, love at first sight. A wall of lip masks caught her eye, and she became OBSESSED with the idea of perfect, kissable lips. When she discovered there were no natural lip masks on the market, the solution was obvious: she had to create her own. Two years and countless trials later, Kristen created the first all-natural, collagen-infused lip mask that now sits on the lips of Hollywood royalty”
On Cult Beauty there only the lip masks but the range also has scrubs and lip balms. You know I love lip balms and these look amazing. I hope they will expand the line because I’d love to give it a go. The prices are mid-range.
Ouai

- Available: Cult Beauty or Sephora
- Founder: Jen Atkin
- Follow: Instagram
On their website they say:
“Haircare has become so serious. With OUAI, I wanted to create a “breath of fresh hair”—a line for real life, for real women. Luxury products that are simple, affordable, and classic in a world full of loud noise. I didn’t want to work with a giant haircare company or make those elaborate, unrealistic advertising campaigns. I was lucky to partner with investors who understood my vision and collaborate with industry experts in design and formulation.”
Like I’ve said about Briogeo they really sound amazing and I’d love to give the brand a go, the prices are mid-range and since I don’t have particular hair problems I never spend that much for hair products.
Pat Mc Grath Labs

- Available: https://www.patmcgrath.com/ or Sephora
- Founder: Pat Mc Grath
- Follow: Instagram
On their website they say:
“This is the golden age of makeup. PAT McGRATH LABS is my Golden Revolution. The entire planet is just as cosmetics obsessed as I’ve always been. Makeup is a movement, makeup is mesmerizing, makeup is major. Mantra-esque, three words have repeated over and over in my mind ever since I was young. Obsession. Inspiration. Addiction. Those words became my guiding principles, my manifesto as I brought this brand to life. I wanted to capture, in a quartet of exquisite palettes, 50 legendary lipsticks, a divine dozen eyeliners and five fetish-worthy lip pencils, The Power of Transformation, The Power of Beauty; The Power of Makeup.”
I want to try her palette so badly, I have had my eyes on the Mothership V for SO LONG but that palette costs 125€ and there is no way I’d spend that much for makeup. I love her little videos on Instagram they are the best thing ever! This is a luxury line and it’s very pricy.
Uoma

- Available: Beauty Bay
- Founder: Sharon Chuter
- Follow: Instagram
On their website they say:
“UOMA – pronounced OMA (uh-mah) means beautiful and we believe that beauty starts the moment you decide to be yourself. We exist to re-write the rules of inclusivity and diversity to create a world of beauty that truly is for all of us.”
Out of all of them, this one doesn’t attract me much if I’m honest. Don’t get me wrong, they have an amazing shade range and their message is beautiful but it’s not really my vibe, I honestly bet Julia would love them.
And that’s all. I hope this post helps some of you who wanted to support the BLM movement and Black Owned Brands but didn’t know where to shop.

Thank you for highlighting Black owned makeup brands, Mimi!!
Thank you for reading! ?
Thank you for sharing these black-owned beauty brands! Love the mission statements of some of these brands, and these color palettes are gorgeous! I’m in the US and am glad I can get some of these brand products online from here.
You are lucky! There are so many brands I can’t get here but you can support!
Looks like a lot of really nice beauty products!
Thank you ?
I have never heard of any of these brands. There are so many to check out. The beauty bakery looks interesting an I should check it out!
These are all great!!! I use KNC and Briogeo all the time, they are some of my favorites! Those eye shadow pallets by Juvia are incredible!!!
Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m even more excited to try them now
I’ve just learned about KNC myself and their stuff looks so cool!
Agree! I need to try something.
Great round up! I love Pat McGrath her quality is unsurpassed.

Keri
I still need to try her brand!
Thank you so much for sharing this! ? I have to say that the brand Briogeo sounds really cool!
Iknow right? They also have a test you can take on their site to see what products are perfect for you
Wow that’s amazing!!
LOL I’ve tried all of the brands on this list except for KNC – I didn’t know they were black owned! Will have to place an order soon. Coloured Raine, Juvia’s Place, Uoma, and Pat McGrath have such incredible eyeshadow formulas!!
However, I’m confused to see Ouai pop up in a few of these lists since I thought that Jen Atkin owns the brand?
I had to google it too, basically she was adopted but has a black background. She found out recently.
OMG I had no clue! Both Ouai & Bridgeport make such good products!
They sound great but I wouldn’t spend that much on hair stuff
thanks for doing this post, such a shame that only 9 black-owned brands are available over there, but i guess it makes sense given that these are definitely more known in the beauty community and therefore have more opportunities of expansions. i hope more brands get the recognition they deserve! 🙂
Exactly! Hopefully as they grow popularity they’ll ship here too!
