Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Catrice Matte Liquid Eyeshadow in 080 Minimalism.
I’m pretty sure at this point you are familiar with these eyeshadows since I’ve already reviewed the shades Balanced Soul and Fearless, but this shade caught my attention because it’s almost an exact dupe of the MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork but, of course, way cheaper.
These eyeshadows come in different formulas, from matte (like this one) to extremely glittery. You can use them alone or as a base and since this one is a completely matte light brown, I think is perfect as a base for medium/dark skin.

COLOUR
It is a completely matte light brown colour.
PACKAGING
The packaging is a thin and long tube in a hard plastic material. The shade name is written on the cap. It is really nice and sturdy, I like it.
It has a flat doe-foot applicator that I love, it picks up just the right amount of product.
FORMULA
The formula is very creamy and a bit sticky, whether you want to use it as an eyeshadow primer or alone you have to dab a light layer of powder on top of it.
It’s not patchy at all.
APPLICATION
The doe-foot applicator allows an easy application and the shadow is easy to blend with the finger but I actually prefer to use a synthetic brush because I can create a thinner layer.
You have time to move it around but once it sets, you won’t be able to move it.

LASTING POWER
It lasted for 8 hours on me before starting to crease. I have extremely oily lids so I was pleasantly surprised.

I’m so impressed. I love the shade, it’s perfect for every day. It is insanely easy to use and long-lasting. If you are looking for something to use daily that doesn’t break the bank you’ll love it. My eyelids are quite a harsh test, so the lasting power is impressive. If you want/like the MAC Paint Pot you’ll love this one too especially because it costs a fraction of that.

A cheaper, good-quality dupe to the MAC Paint Pots?? Sign me up! You know how much I love the Paint Pots. The swatch looks pinker than Groundwork though, or at least it does on camera. Is it more brown in person?

I do like how this liquid eyeshadow goes on you. So smooth. I haven’t tried liquid in such a long time. Actually, I rarely where it at all these days. But looks great on you.
