Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Essence High Beauty Brightening Concealer.
This line contains hemp seed oil which basically is manufactured from varieties of Cannabis but doesn’t contain significant amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the principal psychoactive element present in the cannabis plant. The oil contains omega 3, omega 6 and linoleic acid that stimulate elastin which makes the skin more beautiful, healthy and elastic.
I’ve never smoked because I’m prone to addiction so I avoid it, but no judgment if you do, the thing is, I got curious about it and when I saw an affordable brand like essence doing a line with Cannabis derivatives I decided to give it a go.
This concealer comes in two shades, I have 02 Peach Beige and you can get it here for about 4$.
PACKAGING
The packaging is a thick and relatively small tube in a hard plastic material. The shade name is written on a sticker on the cup. It is really nice and sturdy, I like it.
It has a very classic doe foot applicator that I love, it picks up just the right amount of product and it’s precise.

FORMULA
The shade is very peachy so I like to use it underneath my concealer when I have very dark under-eye to colour correct before applying regular concealer.
It’s really creamy and easy to blend, once it sets it has a natural finish. It has light-medium coverage and it blends seamlessly with your skin.
I haven’t noticed any benefit with the hemp oil addiction, it’s honestly just a good concealer.
APPLICATION
I put it on with the applicator e I use a damp sponge but your fingertip will work too.

GRADE: B+
I really like this concealer (I should say, corrector). I don’t know if the hemp seed oil does something but I like to believe it does so I like that I’m hydrating my under-eye too. The formula is great and the peachy colour makes it perfect to correct dark circles. It works well with my Dior concealer so I will keep using it when I need it. It’s not a necessary product for me but I really like it.

I’ve never used anything with Hemp Seed Oil, but maybe it is. I feel like with beauty products belief is like half of the magic of how it works.
I totally agree!
I don’t use correctors under my eye because I have too much creasing, but this looks interesting.
This doesn’t really crease but I have a good setting powder x
It blends in so nicely!
Totally does!
Looks like a pretty good concealer! I haven’t tried any “cannabis associated” beauty products yet, wondering how much is proven benefit vs. trend.
Agree! It’s a good product indeed!
Under my eyes is something I struggle with. It’s hard to find a good concealer. I’ll have to try this one. I like that it’s affordable.
I bet you’ll love it!
I’ve been looking for a new concealer. and I LOVE that this one uses Hemp Seed Oil!
This is so good
Great review of this concealer! I would really love to try it.
Enjoy!
Hemp & CBD in beauty is so interesting – in the US most of these brands can’t even legally advertise these products using normal display or social ads (just organic posts or influencer posts).
I just have such a hard time remembering to use color correctors, but this one sounds quite nice!
I never use it but sometimes concealer is not enough, especially when I put makeup on my other people. My sister get really dark circles so it’s handy to have
I don’t use correctors so I’d probably skip this one, but yea I’m not sure about all the CBD-infused makeup either. Does it really do anything? Who knows? Supposedly it has skin-loving properties but I think the concentrations are so low in products like these that it’s really hard to say.
Oh that makes sense, I haven’t seen much benefit either but sometime I do makeup on people and having a color corrector is helpful but I probably won’t use it on myself much either
For me I just see it as an unnecessary step, but for others who have really dark circles or discoloration I can totally understand using a corrector first.
I’ll have to try this one next 🙂 Im sick of my current concealers lOL
Ahhahah I know the mood ahah
