Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Chanel Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream in the shade Soleil Tan Bronze Universel.
This bronzer is a cult but recently it has been reformulated and this is the new version, I’ve never tried the old version but I figured since I’m loving the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer I could try this one.
It only comes in one shade and they call it Bronze Universel, I highly doubt one shade would be universal, so brands should stop doing that and make a decent shade range.
You can get it here for 50$ and it comes in one shade I said, while I think that’s not enough, I think it’s a shade that would work on a lot of people.
COLOUR
It is a neutral-warm brown with a soft golden sheen in it.
PACKAGING
The packaging is absolutely stunning and luxurious I totally love it. It has a plastic cover to prevent the product from drying and it’s very big, it will last you for a long time.
It comes in a pale yellow cardboard box that all the products from the Les Beiges line have.

PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
The formula is quite moussy and smooth, it has a light–medium pigmentation. You definitely have to build up the colour which as I said in the past is my personal preference with face products and especially with creams.
It’s a bit too warm for my complexion and it can look a bit muddy on me.
It can get slightly streaky so you have to work it carefully but it doesn’t enhance pores or texture and I like it both on top of powder or underneath.
It has a cream to powder finish and it mashes perfectly with the skin.
APPLICATION
I use a stippling brush that’s not too dense and it’s very easy to use. You can use your fingers but I find I have more control with the brush.
SWATCH

LASTING POWER
On me, it lasts around 8 hours before starting to fade which is awesome for a cream.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 7/10
- Longevity: 9/10
- Application: 9/10
- Formula: 7/10
- Pigmentation: 8/10
- Packaging: 10/10
GRADE: C+
This bronzer is pretty but it looks a bit muddy on me because the colour is too warm for my complexion. It’s not exactly easy to blend because it can get a bit streaky so you have to be careful. The lasting power is amazing though and I also love the packaging, it’s very big so it’s worth the money if you use it every day if not, it might dry before you finish it. So in conclusion, this product needs a bit of expertise and it’s not as easy to use as the Fenty one and having only one shade is not for everyone. You can work with it and it’s not terrible but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Hmmmm I don’t know what to think! I really have been wanting to try this bronzer for so long but I’m doubting a bit after reading your review. Not going to lie, I can see where you’re coming from when you day it looks a bit muddy and I’m scared it will look the same on me too! Overall, I love the packaging and the luxurious look. We need more shades Chanel!
Yes, more shades, stick with the Fenty one, it looks wayyy too muddy
Omg girl nooooooo don’t do it – watch more reviews online first. I have yet to see one positive review!
About this or the Fenty one?
This one lol! Fenty is good! 😂
Ah ok! Yes I didn’t like this one either
I’ve always thought this was a beautiful product. I think I might have the same issue as you with the color, though. It definitely looks luxurious, though!
Totally luxurious but yeah, the color is a problem, they should have more shades
I always wanted to try this but I agree about the shade. I might pick up one of the Fenty ones when I’ve finished my Huda Tantour
It’s such a shame that Chanel thinks it’s fit to bring out a bronzer in just one shade. Actually, it’s kinda shocking. There’s no way that could work on “everyone.” I’ve always been interested in trying this product but I’m sure, like you, the tone just wouldn’t suit me. Also, I heard that since they reformulated it it now has coconut oil, which can be massively clogging to a lot of skins. I’d be careful as you continue to use it!
I didn’t know that, but it’s good to know, coconut oil is not really a problem for my skin but it’s a reason more to avoid this. It defininely wouldn’t work for everyone, sure as hell it would look just as muddy on you
I’m sure it would!
I agree I wish companies would have a wider range of shades especially for bronzers. I do like that you can build with this and the creaminess of it.
The shade range is awful!
Based upon this review I would not buy this product. The review makes it seem like a low quality product that is not made with people colored like me in mind.
Definitely! They need more shades
I love the packaging its soooo pretty and lux! I think its a little warm I agree with you there. Me being pretty pale I would want something a little lighter.
Yes it probably won’t work on pale skin
Hmm, I can see what you mean about the shading! I’m not sure I’d give this one ago.
Agree! Not worth it!
Know I mentioned this on IG, but everyone really trashed the new formula so I’m not surprised by your issues either! Some MUAs basically described this as tinted makeup remover because coconut oil is one of the top ingredients. I can def see the muddy look & I think the streakiness has to do with the ingredients! Also, instead of reformulating their one shade, they should have extended the OG line! 🙈 🙈
Yeah agree! It was so hard to blend definitely makeup remover vibe ahahah
