Hi Darlings, in today’s post we are going to talk about the Best Concealers for Dark Circles and Acne.
Concealer is a must for me even more than foundation and let’s be real unless you don’t have severe acne you are like me and you use the same one on both blemishes and dark circles. So most of these can do both.
I usually get my concealer a shade lighter than my skin tone because I like to brighten up the undereye area but once I put it on my face under other makeup products it will work perfectly there too.
Are you ready to find you my favourite concealers for dark circles and acne?
Do we like the same concealer?
Just like with the foundations we have to first figure out if we like the same concealers. My ideal concealer has:
- Medium to Full Coverage
Since I tend to like more sheer foundations I need a concealer with heavy coverage to cover dark circles and blemishes.
- Creamy Formula
I don’t like sticks or pots. I like my concealer to either have a doe foot applicator or a pump.
- Hydrating
My undereye area is quite dry so I need a concealer that won’t crack through the day.
- Natural Finish
My ideal concealer isn’t too matte or too glowy, natural finish means that it looks like skin.
- Long-Lasting
I don’t want a concealer that moves or creases through the day. I usually bake my concealer anyway to prevent it but it still needs to be long lasting.

My Experience: I’ve used this for over a year, it’s very creamy and hydrating which makes it perfect for winter at least on dark circles. It lasts a long time if you bake it but it will crease if you don’t set it. The bottle is quite big so even if it’s pricey it will last you a long time, I’ve used it everyday for over a year and I still have a lot left. The only downside is that the neck of the bottle leaks making it quite messy.

My Experience: I’ve gone through so many of this. It covers dark circles amazingly, it’s easy to apply and to blend, it lasts a long time and it never looks dry or cakey even at the end of the day. The packaging is not the most travel-friendly but it’s nice and fancy so it’s not a big problem. Just need to be careful. The bottle is quite big so even if it’s pricey it will last you a long time.

My Experience: This is such a great affordable option. It performs like the other ones. It covers dark circles amazingly, it’s easy to apply and to blend, it lasts a long time and it never looks dry or cakey even at the end of the day. For a drugstore concealer, the shade range is amazing too.
Maybelline Fit Me

- Shade Range: 12 Shades available
- Works on DARK CIRCLES: Yes
- Works on ACNE: Yes

My Experience: I haven’t used this one in a while but it was my must in high school. The coverage is great, it lasts a long time and it looks very natural. The bottle isn’t as big as the others but it’s also a lot cheaper. If you don’t want to splurge but you want an amazing product you’ll love it.
Final Considerations
As you can see most of these concealers are very similar. I guess I have a type. Most of them have larger applicators and big bottle so even if they are on the pricier side they last you for so long you won’t need a new concealer for years. They all have a great shade range and all the shades match me perfectly.

This is the info I’ve been waiting for. No concealer I’ve tried have ever helped me with my dark circles! Can’t wait to try these.
Let me know how you like them!
Ah we all need a good concealer. Thanks for this roundup! I like the look of the MAC concealer.
It’s good!
This is a great post, and I love how you packed a lot of info into something very “digestible.” 😉 That Dior concealer sounds amazing!
Thank you! I’m enjoying making them and I’m glad you liked it. The Dior concealer is amazing
I love this! It,s a great guide for concealers! Thanks for sharing! 😄
Thank you so much for reading x
I’ve been trying to decide on a new concealer. I currently use Two Faced Peach Perfect, but I may end up switching to Too Faced Born This Way. Have an opinion on the difference of those?! I’m not certain that I need a switch, but I’m curious if you have any idea!
Is it the new one in the pot? I haven’t tried it so I wouldn’t know but Born This Way as a line is more targeted to normal-combo-dry skin whereas Peach Perfect is more for oily/combo skin so I assume BTW is more hydrating. It works for me because although my skin is more combo my under eye is quite dry. I can’t use BTW foundation though it looks too oily on me. I hope it helps. Tbh the combo BTW concealer + Peach powder is a dream 😂
I was SO happy to see two of my faves on here. The TF Concealer truly is one of my all-time favorites! 💗 The Fit Me is so perfect too! It doesn’t really cover all my dark circles (bc lol they’re aggressive AF) but it looks soooo natural on the skin. I feel like an alien tho because I’ve never tried any MAC complexion products lol! They’re so iconic and always used for reference points! 🙈
Omg you need to try Pro Longwear! The only annoying thing about it is the glass packaging but I had three (talking about finishing products) and they never broke
I have no luck with concealers ggrrrrhh It’s so hard to find a right shade for an under eye area! And all concealers I tried creased. Now I use Catrice Camouflage, it’s good if I set it, but I gor a wrong shade again (too light). I will look into those on your list.
You should try with baking, that’s the only way I have I found that won’t make my concealer crease 😉
Such great suggestions, I prefer hydrating concealers. There are hardly any great ones at the drugstore so it’s looking like I may need to purchase some from Sephora 🙂
I agree, but the Too Faced one (I recommend this for you since its CF) for example, is so big you won’t need to repurchase it for years so it’s worth the splurge in my opinion!
I’ll keep that in mind, thank you doll <3
