Sei influenzata dai trend nel tuo modo di truccarti?
Mimi: Non necessariamente ma magari mi sento attratta da qualche prodotto o look in particolare e solo dopo mi rendo conto che è perchè è un trend del periodo. Quindi è più inconscio che altro.
Julia: Forse non ci faccio caso, ma immagino di sì. Cioè non mi metto a dire “ora mi trucco così perché va di moda”, ma probabilmente il solo fatto di vedere spesso dei trucchi che vanno di moda, magari nelle foto sui social, mi ispira a fare qualcosa di simile.

This sounds cliche but I’ve always kinda followed my own beat when it comes to beauty & fashion so it’s always a trip when something comes “into fashion” that wasn’t as popular. Like for example, doctor martens boots & Vans – it’s such a trip that these are like the “It shoes”. Had a 13 year old tell me that my black Vans were basic… like excuse me missy?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ahhahah hahah in fashion I really don’t care but in makeup is more subtle. I remember last year the naked honey came out and at work too I kept seeing those gold/green shades I wore them for a week straight. Green is not a good colour on me but for whatever reason seeing them around made me want to wear them non stop
With make up – no. I’ve been doing the same very minimal make up for like 25 years! But if I see an influencer with skin care, or shampoo, something like that, I am more apt to purchase having seen someone actually use it

I am noy influenced by the trends. I have my own signature style.

Sort of. I don’t try to copy Instagram make up looks with glitter, heavy countering etc. But some trends definitely influence me to go out of my comfort zone and try something new. For example ABH Modern Renaissance started all the warm-toned red-toned eyeshadow trend and almost every brand had followed. I was reluctant to try these colors, because I thought I would look like I cried all night, but eventually I tried it out and it worked!
I agree I’ve never liked red before the MR and now Is my fave
I’m only influenced by mascara or eyeliner ads. I’ve never gotten into contouring. It took me forever to hop on the brow trend too.

Yes, and no. I definitely pick up on the trends that suit my personality (i.e. the light, natural, skin-first trend that Glossier started), and ignore the ones that probably wouldn’t suit me (i.e. full-on Instagram makeup).

It’s not that I’m strictly following the trends but I see myself gravitating towards the products that are trendy at that moment, like lots of people will use it and I’ll see how awesome that product is so I’ll buy it too but not necessary because it’s trending.
