Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the Dior Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara.
This mascara is one of Dior’s best seller but they recently decided to reformulate/repackage it.
I used to love the original one because it held my curl beautifully and it was very volumizing, so I was a bit scared to try this new version.
You can get it from Sephora for 29,50$
PACKAGING
The packaging is very on brand with Dior, I love the logo on the neck of the bottle, it’s so chic.
It has a curved brush, made with soft bristles.

FORMULA
The formula is quite liquidy and very black, if you are not careful it tends to transfer on your lids when you apply it.
EFFECT & APPLICATION
I always do two coats to get the best results.
I think this mascara is very bland: it doesn’t do much for my lashes, despite the name it’s not curling and I don’t find it particularly good at volumizing my lashes.
The previous version was so much better.
It’s kind of lengthening so maybe you can like it if you don’t need too much volume.
For me, though the effect is simply not there, my lashes just look more black.
LASTING POWER
This mascara lasts all day on me without flaking or smudging.
I find it fairly easy to remove with micellar water, I don’t have the black halo around my eyes when I wake up.
RATING:
- Colour: 9/10
- Longevity: 9/10
- Application: 5/10
- Packaging: 7/10
- Effect: 5/10
- Formula: 5/10
GRADE: D+
I think is obvious that I don’t like this mascara at all. It could work for you if you only need a lengthening one. Obviously, it makes the name pretty deceiving in my opinion since as a curling mascara is a gigantic epic fail. I don’t know why they reformulated it, the older version was so much better. The packaging is obviously gorgeous. That being said, I don’t recommend it at all, especially since it’s so pricey.

I’m sorry you didn’t like it! It does have a pretty package so that’s disappointing.
Agree!
I wouldn’t be a fan of this either. I don’t like liquidy mascara. I never had luck with those!
Yeah it wasn’t great!
I am so glad I saw this review before I bought it! Thank you!
Thank you for reading 💕
I do love the packaging but wouldn’t want to buy it after reading your review. I see what you mean in the photos.Your lashes are beautiful naturally.
Thank you 💕 they are good lashes just very heavy
I sure could use some new mascara, maybe not this one
Yeah not the best choice x
Sorry this one was a bummer for you. Never tried any mascaras from Dior before, but I thought this one was one of their classics. Wonder why they reformulated it at all…?
I wonder too. The other one was amazing! I’m so gutted
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
This was one of my top 3 holy grail mascaras – now I’m pissed they reformulated this!! Why fix something that is broke!!!!
Exactly! I’m so mad!
