Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette in the shade 689 Mitzah.
Recently Dior pulled out all their 5 Couleurs Palettes and relaunched them with new packaging and new shades. This one was so pretty I had to give it a go.
I normally like tiny quads, they can be very handy if you don’t want to cram your makeup bag with a big palette or you only use a couple shades on a daily bases, like I do.
You can get it from Sephora for 62$
PACKAGING
The packaging is absolutely stunning and luxurious I totally love it.
It also comes with two tiny brushes, which, for the price, are quite ridiculous, I mean for 62$ I’d expect more or nothing at all.
PIGMENTATION & FORMULA
The formula is quite soft and smooth especially when you swatch it, it has medium pigmentation. You definitely have to build up the colour.
The second shade is more of glittery top coat but it’s very sheer and doesn’t look like much.
They aren’t patchy and the colour selection is beautiful. You can’t create many looks with it because there are only five shades though.
APPLICATION
All the shades blend easily with brushes apart from the lightest one which is slightly better if you use fingers.
SWATCH
LASTING POWER
With a primer, they last about 8 hours before creasing.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 7/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 7/10
- Formula: 7/10
- Pigmentation: 7/10
- Packaging: 8/10
GRADE: B
The packaging is absolutely stunning, but this palette is simply not worth it. It’s too pricey and although the formula is nice, I normally love Dior eyeshadows, and the colour selection is beautiful, this palette is nothing unique. If you like these tones and want to splurge is good but there are quads I like better.

This is such a beautiful quad but I see what you mean about the colors not being the most unique. Also, it finally hit me and the Pur x Trolls collabs remind me of these Dior ones llololol … obviously not as luxe tho!
Mimi dice
Aahahahah omg totally!

These are some pretty colors and I do like the packaging. But it’s a shame it’s not worth the cost. I’m cheap when it comes to makeup anyway so I’d probably never buy this to begin with.
Mimi dice
Ahahahah it makes sense!

Sounds a little pricy, but I do love the colors and the slight shimmer! Glad you liked it!
Mimi dice
It’s very nice!

I agree that’s a lot of money for eyeshadow!
Mimi dice
Yeah this time is not worth it to me x

Those are gorgeous colors! I like the smaller size b/c I don’t use eyeshadow too often. Lovely!
Mimi dice
I bet you’ll love it!

Creasing is my biggest issue. Knowing these don’t crease for about 8 hours is a win for me.
Mimi dice
You should always use a primer underneath though that can help with creasing

Can’t deny that the color selection here is lovely, but you’re right, probably nothing really special. But if the quality is good too, there’s nothing like a good luxury palette of neutrals!
Mimi dice
Agree! I personally prefer Chanel though. Nothing like a Chanel quad 😂
Erica dice
Agreed!
