Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the Essence 24Ever Bold Volume Mascara.
I always get excited when a new Essence mascara comes out and this time is no different. They came out with two mascaras in the same line focussed on volume and lasting power (the other review is coming on Friday).
Personally, I like these kinds of brushes better so this is the one I’m going to talk about first.

PACKAGING
The packaging is classic of mascara but slightly bigger.
The wand has silicon bristles. I usually like this shape; I find it really easy to use on both top and bottom lashes.
FORMULA
The formula has quite a liquid consistency and very black.
EFFECT & APPLICATION
I always do two coats of mascara to get the best results. This mascara is quite lengthening and but doesn’t give much volume despite the name.
I like to use it on my lower lashes.
I like the way it looks on my lashes but it’s terrible at holding a curl which is actually my main concern and the reason why I normally use waterproof.
If you are not careful, it tends to transfer onto your lids when you apply it. Once it dries, it doesn’t smudge or flake off.
LASTING POWER
It lasts all day, I find it fairly easy to remove, I don’t have the black halo around my eyes when I wake up.

I’m a bit torn with this mascara. I like the effect because it lengthens my lashes beautifully but it’s awful at holding a curl, which is what I need the most. I have to use my eyelash curler again on dry lashes which might break them. So I like it and if you don’t have a problem with the curl of your lashes you might love it because it looks beautiful on. It also pretty much impossible to not get dirty on the lid when you use it you should keep that in mind.

I do like that it’s easy to clean. I hate when I get the black goo around my eyes. But it’s a shame it doesn’t curl more. That’s what I would want too!

It makes your lashes look lovely & fluttery! I’m not a massive fan of the plastic type mascara wands. Some are really good though xx

I definitely like this mascara more than the other one from Essence that you reviewed recently – the length is soooo gorgeous. However, I know holding a curl is a major thing for you so its a bummer that neither new formula was able to do that!
I’m struggling so much to find a non waterproof mascara that does it. Idk what changed but none of them work anymore
