Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Maybelline Color Strike Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow Pen in the shade Spark.
I used to have these kinds of eyeshadows in high school but I haven’t seen one in ages, so when I saw one in Maybelline’s new releases I had to try it.
My everyday look usually includes a shimmery ivory/pink all over the lids so I thought this could be a good option for a quick and easy look.
It comes in 10 shades and you can buy it from Ulta for 8,99$
COLOUR
It is a shimmery champagne colour.
PACKAGING
The packaging is a thin and long tube in a hard plastic material. The shade name is written on the side and it matches the colour of the tube. It is really nice and sturdy, I like it.
It has a round and stiff applicator. You basically have the eyeshadow in the cup and everytime you close it you “recharge” the brush.

FORMULA
The formula is very pigmented and despite the shimmer, it doesn’t have much fall out since you pick up such a small amount of product every time you dip.
It’s described as cream to powder but it’s a powder, nothing creamy about it.
It’s not patchy at all.
APPLICATION
The applicator allows an easy and precise application and the shadow is easy to blend with the finger.
Since it’s so precise you can’t create every blended look so a lighter shade is easier to work with than a dark one, unless you plan to use it to create a smokey eyeliner, then you’ll love it.
SWATCH

LASTING POWER
It lasted for 8 hours on me before starting to crease.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 9/10
- Longevity: 8/10
- Application: 7/10
- Formula: 8/10
- Pigmentation: 9/10
- Packaging: 9/10
GRADE: B+
I’m so impressed. I love the shade, it’s perfect for every day. It is very easy to use once you get the hang of it and long-lasting. If you are looking for something to use daily that doesn’t break the bank you’ll love it. I would love to try a darker shade as a liner.

I REALLY love this color! I think it would look great on my skin so I’m glad that, with the exception of the 7 on application, you’ve rated it pretty high.
It would be amazing on you!
I LOVE the color! I like to wear neutrals and this has just the right amount of shimmer!
So pretty!
Thanks for this honest review. A friend of mine wants to try this. I’mma share this to her.
I hope she loves it!
It’s so sheer! I love that it isn’t over powering
It is!
These came out over here last year, and they are clever little shadow pens. I personally love the idea of a loaded sponge tip. I don’t have this shade but I have the matte grey one called Flare, which is awesome as a liner. I also have the shade Hustle, which is a lovely bronze but I have to say the shimmer drops all over the cheeks when you apply it, so I don’t reach for it as much as I’d like.
I definitely want more shades, I love this one as highlighter on the face actually, it’s so easy to put on the inner corner, nose and cupid bows
I love how user-friendly the little applicator is!
Oh wow, this looks like such a beautiful colour! It sounds like a pretty good product too, even if the application isn’t as good xx

I love it!
Oooo, I love the color os this shade! I think a darker shade would be really pretty to work with too. Does it flake at all? I hate when shadows flake and fall under eye.
I’m so glad to see that you liked this formula! I have a couple of these and I feel like Maybelline really killed it with this line. They’ve really been stepping up their eyeshadow game in recent years.
They are so nice I wasn’t expecting it. TBH I love to use it as highlighter on the smaller areas, I love how precise it is!
