Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the elf Cosmetics Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow in the shade Pinky Swear.
I went into this product completely blindly but I’ve found out that is actually a best seller and people claim they are dupes of the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows which I’ve owned and loved in the past.
To be honest, you know I love glitter so when I saw this I thought I could give them a go, I got two shades, you’ll see the other one next week but once you have done with this review, please check out the Stila one and you’ll see why I was disappointed.
You can buy them from Ulta for 5$.
COLOUR
Silver glitter in a rose gold base.
PACKAGING
The packaging is a thick and relatively small tube in a hard plastic material. The shade name is written on the bottom. It is really nice and sturdy, I like it.
It has a flat doe foot applicator that I love, it picks up just the right amount of product.

FORMULA & APPLICATION
The formula is very sheer and the glitter is chunky and sparse. To me, it’s a bit too chunky and it looks like kids makeup, I see why people compare them to Stila but to me, they aren’t a dupe. They aren’t necessarily ugly and I’ll use them when I need glitter but the Stila ones are more elegant.
You don’t get any glitter fall down through the day. It’s not patchy at all and you can layer it to get a more opaque look.
The doe foot applicator allows an easy application and the shadow is easy to blend with the finger. You have time to move it around but once it sets, you won’t be able to move it.
SWATCH
The swatch on the eyes looks patchy because of the way glitter reflects light, in real life it’s not.

LASTING POWER
I always have to wear an eye primer or my make up won’t last a minute. Even with cream shadows but I feel like most people would want to use it without.
- WITHOUT Primer: This shadow lasted for 8 hours on me before starting to crease. I have extremely oily lids so I was pleasantly surprised.
- WITH Primer: This shadow was bulletproof. I had it on for 12 hours and it was still perfect. If something it got even better. It was still super glossy and I had no creasing at all.
RATINGS:
- Colour: 7/10
- Longevity: 9/10
- Application: 7/10
- Formula: 6/10
- Pigmentation: 7/10
- Packaging: 9/10
GRADE: B-
I don’t hate it, but it wouldn’t be my first choice for a glitter. The main problem I have is that the glitter is so big and chunky it looks like kids makeup but the effect on the eyes isn’t terrible and it has a very good lasting time. So overall, I think that if you want a glitter eyeshadow you won’t be disappointed with this, especially if you are on a budget but I prefer more classy glitter.

What a cute glitter eye shadow! A little glitter won’t hurt and i love the color.
So pretty right?
I have to agree that I wish the glitter was smaller too! The color is pretty though and you can’t beat the price!
Yeah the price is amazing!
I love how affordable e.l.f. is, such a cute look on you.
Thank you 💕
It does look pretty but I really like the Stila ones
Same! I feel like they are pretty but if you compare them with stila there’s no game
I’ve heard mixed reviews on these glitter shadows from them. I can see how people would compare them to the Stila because they look similar on the outside, but the Stila ones are so special, in my opinion.
Agree! I was already kind of skeptical when I’ve swatched it the first time because the glitter was so big then I’ve heard people comparing them to Stila and it annoyed me even more
Stila changed the game with glitter shadows in my opinion, so you gotta be careful with those comparisons! 😄
Hahaha I wouldn’t have compared them at all! But I think I saw a couple of reels of people comparing them and I was SHOCKED! To be honest though, I think the best glitter shadows I’ve tried are Tati’s! They are unreal
Haven’t tried those but they always looked amazing!
