Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the Catrice Clean ID Volume and Definition Mascara.
Since I absolutely love the Catrice Clean ID Full Lash Mascara and I had quite a bit of luck Clean ID line, I thought I could try this mascara too.
This Clean ID is super interesting and more sustainable (I’ve got a few products I’ll show you in the next weeks) basically it is:
- Vegan.
- Microplastic particles free.
- Fragrance free.
- Suitable for sensitive eyes
You can buy it here for 6$ or you can find Catrice at Ulta.
PACKAGING
The packaging is pretty classic for a mascara, it’s pink which of course I love.
The brush is made of soft bristles and it reminds me of an hourglass, I usually like this shape.

FORMULA
The formula is quite liquidy and very black, if you are not careful it tends to transfer on your lids when you apply it.
EFFECT & APPLICATION
I always do two coats to get the best results.
I think this mascara is very bland: it doesn’t do much for my lashes, it doesn’t really lengthen or volumize them nor I find it particularly good at holding a curl.
As you can see from the pictures the effect is simply not there, my lashes just look more black.

LASTING POWER
The lasting power is ok but if you barely tear up it’s going to smudge. I don’t normally have issues with my mascara lasting and this was quite annoying
I find it fairly easy to remove with micellar water, I don’t have the black halo around my eyes when I wake up.
RATING:
- Colour: 10/10
- Longevity: 6/10
- Application: 6/10
- Packaging: 7/10
- Effect: 5/10
- Formula: 4/10
GRADE: D
Sadly, I don’t like this mascara, it looks too clumpy on me and it makes me feel like I have ten long lashes but no definition at the roots. I really don’t like the lasting power. So it’s absolutely a pass for me.

Oh no, I hate a clumpy mascara. I’d pass on this one as well.
So bad!
That’s so disappointing! I have a few Catrice products. I was expecting better results.
Right? I have the other mascara from the Clean ID line and it’s incredible
a D!! wow!! love your brutal honesty though, much appreciated!!
Thank you 💕
I do love the deep and dramatic black of this mascara but I have issues with some mascaras making me look like I have FEWER lashes so I think I’ll have to skip this one too! However, you look stunning!
Thank you 💕 and I have the same issue so I get it x
I see what you mean with this one. Not very impressive!
Right? So bad
Hmm Interesting! I was thinking of trying this, but I guess I’ll skip it!
Yep! I’d pass on it!
