Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Huda Beauty Diamond Balm in the shade Negligee.
Another product I’ve found in the Sephora advent calendar.
Appearance-wise, this lip balm is gorgeous and apparently, this shade is Huda’s favourite, I’m not going to lie though and if it wasn’t in the calendar I wouldn’t have bought it.
You can get it here for 25$ and it comes in three shades.
COLOUR
In the bullet, it looks like a glittery nude, in reality, that’s just an overspray and the shade is just transparent.
PACKAGING
The packaging is iridescent and the cup is slightly sheer, honestly is beautiful. It comes in a transparent box which is nice.
The scent is very neutral, nothing overpowering or specific.
FORMULA & APPLICATION
The formula is very creamy and it glides on really easily, it’s very thin and it doesn’t feel sticky on the lips, the finish is shiny.
It contains mango butter and coconut oil fatty acids to make the lips soft and smooth. I find it quite hydrating but it’s not the best lip balm I’ve ever tried.
I think I’m mostly disappointed that the shade is transparent, the glitter disappears and it basically looks like a 3$ lip balm.
SWATCH

LASTING POWER
This lip balm lasts for 2 hours on me (without eating), since it’s so shiny I wasn’t expecting an incredible lasting time, but you can reapply it really easily.
RATING:
- Colour: 6/10
- Longevity: 7/10
- Application: 8/10
- Pigmentation: 4/10
- Formula: 6/10
- Packaging: 10/10
GRADE: C+
I like this lip balm but it’s not worth the price tag. It’s basically a transparent lip balm that looked prettier than it actually is. The formula is ok and the packaging is gorgeous, so I’ll definitely use it, I just keep it in my purse because it looks prettier than chapstick but I wouldn’t buy it or recommend it. I doubt the other shades will look any different.

That color is gorgeous! And I ALSO love that it has so many nourishing ingredients for your lips in there – what a great formula!
Yay!
Awww I wanted it to have some shimmer- glitter in it too! You’d think with the way it looks it would. Love these reviews to help me decide what to buy!
It was quite disappointing!
I would have never guessed that lip color would be a plain gloss!
Same, so disappointing
That looks like an interesting texture at first glance I thought you would say it was gritty. Glad to know its not but definitely not worth the price
Agree, I wish it was glittery too
Oh I love it! It’s the perfect amount of shimmer! I love that you rated that the application was easy as well!
It’s a great balm
