tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer | Review

Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review of the tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer.

Mrs Tati Westbrook is the reason I got this primer. If you follow her you’d definitely know how much she raves about this primer.

I’ve actually got a sample of it and didn’t like but I’m nothing if not stubborn and that sample felt a bit dry so I decided to just get it and trust her (so happy I did).

You can buy it from Sephora for 39$ but you can also get a mini size for 19$ if you want to try it.

PACKAGING

It comes in a glass pot like a cream, it’s not the most sanitary packaging but it feels very nice and fancy.

The pot only is pretty big and you need the smallest amount so it will probably last for a while.

Formula

This primer feels like a thicker butter with a bit of silicone slip and the pink tint makes the skin look more radiant.

It doesn’t feel greasy. Once you put it on it’s a little shiny but it dries into a matte finish.

It makes my skin quite smooth and it’s pore filling, I really like the effect on me. I like to focus it in the t-zone where my pores are bigger.

Application

The best way to apply it is by dabbing it on with your fingers.

It makes my foundation last for 8 hours before it starts to break and I need to re-powder.

I love this primer, I’ve been using it a lot. It makes my skin super smooth and poreless. I’m not the biggest fan of the packaging because it’s not the most sanitary but it’s actually very easy to pick up the right amount so I don’t hate it. It lasts a long time too.
