Hi Darlings, today’s post is going to be the review and swatch of the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder.
If you have been here a while you’d know my favourite loose powder was the Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder which sadly got discontinued. I’m still very bitter about it.
Anyway, I needed to find a replacement so, of course, I went with the most popular setting powder in the world.
This is my first Laura Mercier product because the brand isn’t that easy to find here, it’s not too hard because you can easily find it online but not in stores.
You can find it at Sephora for 39$ it comes in three shades and two finishes (matte and radiant). I’ve got Translucent Matte.
The packaging looks very luxe and professional.
The pot itself is quite big and bulky but it contains A LOT of product and it’s again, so pretty, it feels quite fancy.
The powder is very finely milled and soft, I can see why so many people love it.
It’s slightly tinted but it doesn’t change the colour of your foundation or your concealer.
This powder looks amazing on my skin, you can see in the picture how much my pores are minimized, my face looks and feels like a rose petal especially from the distance.
It’s also very matt but it never looks cakey or powdery.
I like to apply it with a wet sponge because I use it to bake and I pretty much only put it under my eyes.
It’s quite easy to apply, the holes disperse the perfect amount of product and it’s not too fine to fly everywhere.
It prevents my concealer from creasing all day but doesn’t look dry.
- Colour: 10/10
- Longevity: 10/10
- Application: 9/10
- Texture: 10/10
- Pigmentation: 10/10
- Packaging: 9/10
I don’t even know what else to say, this powder is AMAZING! I’m so happy it works for me because I was terrified when I discovered that the TF one got discontinued. The effect on the skin is beautiful and it makes my concealer last all day. I couldn’t be happier with it.
I really hope you guys enjoyed it, don’t forget to like, comment and share to let me know all your thoughts and if you have any question.
